Wagatha Christie producers plan to keep the name despite Rebekah Vardy’s copyright win
PRODUCERS of the Wagatha Christie play plan to keep the name despite Rebekah Vardy copyrighting the phrase.
The Sun revealed the wag announced legal ownership last week over the phrase ‘Wagatha Christie’ after applying for it in August.

Rebekah Vardy has been embroiled in a legal war with Coleen Rooney since 2019[/caption]
But show chiefs are yet to hear from her legal team will pursue the show over their title.
Eleanor Lloyd, the show’s originator and producer, said: “We didn’t see it coming, but so far, after looking into it all in the last couple of days, I can see no reason why I can’t go on without changing the name of the show.”
Vardy’s trademark covers several commercial areas, like drinks and jewellery, but apparently not entertainment.
Lloyd added: “I had been a little worried, wondering if the whole story had dropped out of the headlines for good. But then, no, here it is back again.
“Another surprise from this extraordinary story. I think we will make some reference to it in the script.”
Pals said Becky – married to legendary Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy – wanted to “take back control” over the situation, which left her forced to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal fees, which could be up to £1.5million.
A source said: “This trademark is Becky’s two fingers to Coleen and all the misery associated with ‘Wagatha Christie’.
“Becky is shrewd and knew people would try to cash in on the phrase.
Is The Mandalorian’s Armorer Trustworthy? Producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni Weigh In

This is the way. But is it really? On The Mandalorian, the titular character has always put a ton of faith into the words of the Armorer, a wise Mandalorian who can not only craft armor but knows all about the histories and customs of the galaxy. It was the Armorer who, on The Book of Boba Fett, told Mando that he was…
Fossil Fuel Producers Must Be Forced To ‘Take Back’ Carbon, Say Scientists
“The technology exists — what has always been lacking is effective policy,” he said. “The failure has been policy, not technology — we know how to do this.” The companies that profit from extracting fossil fuels — oil, gas and coal producers around the world — should be paying for an equivalent quantity of carbon dioxide to be stored geologically as a condition of being allowed to operate, he argued.
Allen is a co-author, along with four other scientists from Oxford, the US and the Netherlands, of a paper published on Thursday in the journal Environmental Research Letters that sets out how such an “extended producer responsibility” could work. Under a “carbon takeback obligation,” all fossil fuels extracted or imported into a nation or group of nations would be offset by storing underground an amount of carbon dioxide equivalent to that generated by that fuel. Phased in over time, it could be used to store 100% of emissions by 2050, to help the world reach net zero.

Producers Says Margot Robbie’s Pirates Of The Caribbean Movie Isn’t Dead Yet
Jerry Bruckheimer is a legendary producer who has been behind some of the biggest movies of all time, including Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise with Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack has been since made a Disney icon, even being included in the Pirates ride at Disney theme parks, the first new addition to the ride in decades.
With Depp stating he’s hanging up the captain’s hat for good, there’s a lot of speculation of where the franchise can go from here. There was a Margot Robbie-led Pirates movie, but there are conflicting reports on the status of that production with Robbie herself saying it’s not moving forward, but it also may not be dead in the water. Bruckheimer wanted to set the record straight.
“I think we’re getting very close on that one, too. We have a very good script. We developed two of them,” Bruckheimer explained to The Hollywood Reporter. “The one with Margot Robbie and one with a younger cast. The Margot Robbie one needs a little more work. The younger cast one is close. Hopefully, we’ll get both of them.”
