At one point the bear apparently even broke into a local’s home by crashing through a wall.
Locals chased the bear, throwing objects at it in an effort to scare it off.
The bear was seen rapidly turning around to chase a local behind a house after he attempted to scare it away.
The animal was later tranquilised while hiding in a shed behind someone’s home late at night, according to local officials.
Officers at the local Forest department in India’s Uttar Pradesh region said that seven people were injured in the incident in the villages of Neguraban Singh and Bagheda Kala.
It comes a day after a zebra was spotted wandering through the streets of Seoul after escaping from a zoo.
The male zebra, named Sero was on the loose after it escaped from Seoul Children’s Grand Park Zoo, in South Korea.
And last month leopard terrorised a city for over six hours after escaping its cage and left five people injured.
Last year a pack of wolves was seen roaming a Canadian city after escaping from a zoo through a hole cut in the fence.
Horror as customer picks up trolley and launches it at woman knocking her out cold in supermarket rampage

Rogerio Santos da Silva, 36, hurled the heavy metal cart at the unsuspecting victim as they both browsed the aisles in a store in Brazil.

Rogerio Santos da Silva, 36, launched the trolley at the woman and knocked her out[/caption]
He launched the brutal attack on the woman as they queued for the checkout at the supermarket in the municipality of Santo Antonio do Descoberto on February 16.
Shocking footage captured the moment Santos da Silva calmly lifted the large orange trolley and walked towards her.
The 45-year-old victim, who wished to remain anonymous, can be seen shunting her trolley forward in the checkout line.
But she is suddenly knocked to the floor as Santos da Silva swung the cart directly at her head, seeing her collapse.
The ruthless blow resulted in the victim passing out, before she was later had to be placed in a wheelchair to move her.
Despite the savage supermarket attack, the woman miraculously did not suffer any serious injuries.
But she told local media the riled shopper did not seem to care if he caused her serious damage with his antics.
The victim claimed she does not know Santos da Silva and did not even glance at him before the horror incident occurred.
But the trolley-wielding brute claimed he was taking revenge after she allegedly bullied him.
The injured shopper vehemently denied his claims, insisting she was simply “going about her duties” without any interaction with her attacker.
She explained: “He started lying, saying that I cursed him, in order to justify his violence and nobody did anything.
“At no time did I curse him, nor did I say a word to this man, nor did I look at him that could result in a misunderstanding.
“I was just following my life and going about my duties as an ordinary citizen. And this attack happened.
“I temporarily lost consciousness and could not move, and was carried by others to a wheelchair, feeling an unbearable pain in my head that prevented me from even speaking.”
The victim believes Santos da Silva intentionally sought out the most deadly weapon he could find in the supermarket.
She continued: “He took the risk of killing me, acting intentionally, and, at the time, the most lethal thing he found nearby was a supermarket cart.
“A heavy cart like that, plus the force that was thrown, practically doubles the weight!
“It hit one fragile region of my head, the temples.”
Her horrified husband, who also wished to remain anonymous, echoed his wife’s version of events.
He added: “There was no discussion or anything like that. It was purely what is in the video. They didn’t exchange a word.”
The spouse claims that following the merciless attack, Santos da Silva shouted: “This is for you to learn and stop chasing me!”
The thug was quickly arrested at the scene by authorities and was pictured outside the store standing next to a cop.
However, he was only charged with minor bodily harm and promptly released.
According to G1, the suspect signed a Detailed Term of Occurrence (TCO) in connection with the incident.
Santos da Silva could reportedly be locked up for a maximum of two years or possibly receive a hefty fine.
The attacker was previously accused of attempted murder in 2021 following allegations of domestic violence.

Narcissist who stamped on ex-girlfriend’s neck in sickening rampage given just four years in jail
A NARCISSIST who strangled and stamped on his girlfriend’s neck in a sickening rampage will face just four years in jail – despite a judge’s fears he could go on to kill.
Gavin Anstey, 37, also held broken glass to her eye in November last year.
Gavin Anstey, 37, was sentenced to just four years behind bars[/caption]
A court heard scaffolder Anstey, who was jailed in 2008 for causing the deaths of two young women by dangerous driving, has a history of attacking his partners.
In a powerful victim impact statement, the woman, who was left with lasting injuries and PTSD, said: “During the incident, Gavin would attack me, I’d catch my breath, and then he’d start another attack. It went from room to room as he threw me around my flat.
“The attack lasted for so long, and I didn’t have access to my phone because it went flying, that I had no way out.
“After the assault my whole body was painful and bruised. He had scrunched up my eye and held glass to it so I thought he was going to go for my eye with it.
“He had stamped on my neck with such force I couldn’t breathe and had no way out. He strangled me to the point where my family flashed before my eyes.”
She bravely described Anstey as a narcissist who was incapable of feeling any remorse and empathy towards others.
The thug, from Worthing, West Sussex, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation and criminal damage at Hove Crown court.
During the attack, Anstey raged: “I will happily go down for twenty years to kill you.”
But despite his brutality, Judge Christine Henson jailed him for just four years on Wednesday with an extended year on licence – the maximum allowed by law.
He will serve at least two thirds of the four years in custody.
Judge Henson said Anstey posed a serious risk of reoffending and was a high risk of causing serious harm or death to future partners.
She said: “It is clear you have acute difficulty in conducting yourself in an intimate relationship.
“I’m in no doubt you pose a serious risk of harm to others.”

- Always keep your phone nearby.
- Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
- If you are in danger, call 999.
- Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
- Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
- If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
- Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.

The attack comes just weeks after pregnant mum-of-two Amy Seddon had her car savaged by a vandal.
Amy, 31, told The Sun: “Three windows smashed and three tyres were done and it was covered with paint stripper.”
John Worthington, 79, who has lived in the Glover Street area for ten years, came across the “pointless” atrocity as he went to pick up a copy of The Sun.
The pensioner fumed: “Nothing like this has happened before. It’s shocking for that to happen to ordinary peoples cars.”
Mum-of-two Maria Hill, 36, captured the vandal behind the attack but said she could not identify them.
She said: “It’s done without any reason as far as we are aware.”
The Sun Online has approached Greater Manchester Police for comment and made them aware of the CCTV.

He told Nine News: “It’s disgusting, it’s vile and no worker deserves to be treated like this when they are just doing their job.
“It is simply appalling there are some members of the public that think it is reasonable to treat a fast-food worker in this way.
“Time after time we are seeing examples of workers being abused and insulted at this shop.
“Bring back the security guards so that people don’t think they can get can get away with this sort of vile behaviour.”
Police are reportedly investigating the incident.
