How Ukrainians Infiltrated Internet-Connected Security Cameras, Exposed Russian Bases
[T]hey hacked thousands of security and traffic cameras in Belarus and parts of Ukraine that Russia had occupied. To filter the information, the team wrote machine-learning code that helped them separate military movements from ordinary traffic, and they funnelled the information to the military via a public portal.
In one example, described to the Financial Times with photographs and locations, they identified a remote Russian base near occupied Melitopol in southern Ukraine. Ukraine news: ‘Heaviest Russian bombardment so far’ kills millionaire grain mogul as Putin’s brutal campaign rages on
VLADIMIR Putin has continued his bloody invasion of Ukraine, with his latest bombing bombardment leaving one of Ukraine’s richest men dead.
Russian bombs hit the city of Mykolaiv in the early hours of the morning, in an attack that has been described as the “heaviest Russian bombardment so far,” by the cities mayor.
Among the victims was 74-year-old Oleksiy Vadatursky, an agriculture mogul and one of Ukraine’s richest men.
Vadatursky owned Nibulon, a group that played a key role in exporting grain out of Ukraine.
He had also received the “Hero of Ukraine” award.
The region’s leader, Vitaliy Kim, took to Telegram to pay tribute to Vadatursky, who he claims “did a lot for the Mykolaiv region, a lot for Ukraine.
“His contribution to the development of the agricultural and shipbuilding industry, the development of the region is invaluable,” he added.
