Befriend fishfolk and upgrade ships in Sail Forth
A lot of games about ships seem dour to me, because the wind is a fickle method of propulsion and because slowly revolving around enemies during slow cannon-fire combat is dull. By contrast, Sail Forth looks more my speed, with its enormous sea creatures, secretive faction of frogs in submarines, and a wind system itd developers claim is “deeply accessible”. It’s out now and there’s a launch trailer below.

On demand PvP ship combat will sail into Sea Of Thieves in Season Eight
Obligatory ahoy, pirates. Season 8 of Sea Of Thieves goes live tomorrow, bringing on-demand ship combat and a faction system that pits goodly ghost-pirates against evil skeleton-pirates. It’s all woven into the existing open world, with your ship plunging beneath the waves when you tell it you want to go a-hunting.
If you want more info, you can watch the devs launch into an appropriately deep dive in their latest update video.

I’m A Celeb’s Boy George and co-stars all smiles as they sail onto the show – not realising horrors that await them
I’M A Celebrity’s stars looked like they were enjoying their usual lives of luxury as they look a water cruise onto the show.
Pop icon Boy George, rugby royal Mike Tindall, TV host Scarlette Douglas and soap star Owen Warner were all shown sailing in Australia.
Mike Tindall was soaking up the Aussie son from the back of the boat[/caption]
Boy George, 61, was seen holding out a hand and was later seen on dry land clutching a seemingly unnecessary umbrella.
Meanwhile Scarlette – no stranger to fine weather thanks to her years on A Place In The Sun – sprawled out on deck.
Mike looked like he was enjoying the experience while Owen was the only star with the good grace to look worried.
It comes after the first batch of celebrities to be introduced were photographed yesterday.
More on I’m A Celeb
DJ Chris Moyles, Loose Women’s Charlene White, England footballer Jill Scott, Love Islander Olivia Attwood and Celebrity Gogglebox’s Babatunde Aléshé were shown together.
While the stars should have found out what the show entails before they signed up, there are a few things they won’t be aware of.
That’s because producers are springing some early – and very nasty -surprises.
First they will take on the vertigo-inducing Walk The Plank challenge, which has already spooked Babatunde.

Then some of them won’t be going to the main camp at all, but somewhere far less hospitable.
Viewers have voted for who they want to take part in the Jungle VIPs task – which isn’t nearly as cushy as it sounds.
Far from being given any special status, the chosen few will be stranded on an island in the Pacific Ocean for their first night.
The celebrities who get the most votes will have to endure brutal conditions before even making it into camp.

Genshin Impact will sail a giant inflatable child through London this weekend
Genshin Impact fans in the UK take note, because the fantasy action RPG’s mascot Paimon is heading to London this Sunday in massive, inflatable form. The character will be floating down the River Thames, and HoYoVerse are staging an opportunity to get up close at Tower Bridge. Oh, and they’ve chosen the date of the extremely busy London Marathon as the start of Paimon’s journey along the Thames. What a time to be alive.
