Apple’s iPhone SE 4 could use OLED screens from a Chinese supplier instead of Samsung or LG
Apple’s iPhone SE 4 could use OLED screens from a Chinese supplier instead of Samsung or LG. The report comes from South Korean publication The Elec, which says BOE (Beijing Oriental Electronics) is likely to supply the display panels for Apple’s next entry-level iPhone that is expected to debut in 2024.
Apple’s iPhone SE 4 may use OLED screens from a Chinese supplier, not Samsung or LG
China-based display maker BOE (Beijing Oriental Electronics) has a complicated relationship with Apple. But despite some missteps, it looks like the two companies will be working together for a while longer, at least: a new report from The Elec (spotted by MacRumors) pegs BOE as the display supplier for the rumored iPhone SE 4. This latest report comes as Apple is allegedly working on its own display tech — and trying to lessen reliance on its main display maker and rival, Samsung.
Things got off to a rough start with Apple in 2020 when some of BOE’s screens for the iPhone 12 reportedly failed quality tests. Later, Apple caught BOE making unapproved changes to its iPhone 13 display design. And while BOE eventually secured a deal to make…
Finally, someone is limiting the time kids spend on screens and it’s ….TikTok?

Staring At Screens Could Strain Cervical Spine, Cause ‘Tech Neck’
If you spend hours a day scrolling on your smartphone or tablet, you might get “tech neck.”
“Humans are upright creatures, and our bodies aren’t designed to look down for long periods of time, which puts extra pressure on the cervical spine,” said Dr. Kavita Trivedi, associate medical director of the Spine Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Americans spend about five hours a day on their cellphones and more on laptops and computers, Trivedi noted in a university news release. As a result, people can experience muscle stiffness, joint inflammation, pinched nerves, arthritis, and even bone spurs or herniated discs. …
“The good news is that most patients with tech neck don’t require surgery, and we have a wide range of therapies that can be very effective,” Trivedi said. “There’s no need to live with pain if it can be treated.”
Protect yourself from future neck pain by holding your phone at eye level as much as possible, she advised.

Inside REAL Happy Valley house where BBC drama was filmed as season 3 finale hits screens
TAKE a look inside the real Happy Valley house where the hit BBC drama was filmed.
The owner of the terraced house used as Sergeant Catherine Cawood’s home in the hit drama said he got a surprise call from the show’s producers asking to use the property.
Many of the drama’s scenes, which starred Sarah Lancashire, took place in the house’s kitchen[/caption]
Murray Chalmers and his family moved into the property after the second series had aired in 2016.
The home’s kitchen and outdoor patio has featured often in all three runs, with many of Happy Valley’s key scenes playing out around the kitchen as well as the cobbled street at the back of the house.
Murray told the BBC he couldn’t live with the dark brick red colour that the kitchen was painted for the series, but preferred a more low-key sage green colour.
He said: “Just occasionally you’ll look at bits in your kitchen, for instance, you’ll think ‘My goodness, they’ve hung the mugs around the wrong way’.”
Asked if he thought there would be a happy ending for Sarah Lancashire’s character, he said: “I don’t know. Somewhere in between the two probably.”
The last ever episode of Sally Wainwright’s BBC One drama saw a shocking conclusion as the murderer doused himself in petrol and set himself alight at the end of a clash with show heroine Sgt Catherine Cawood.
The final, nail-biting instalment ended with Tommy, played by James Norton, breaking into Catherine’s home where they row and he sets himself ablaze.
She then frantically jumped on him and smothered the flames and he could be heard moaning in agony beneath her.
Later, she received a text on her mobile that said: “TLR dead, hospital just rang.”
Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that Lancashire has set up her own TV production company with her TV executive husband Peter Salmon.
The couple filed papers last month creating Via Pictures.
Sarah and Peter, whose past credits include Big Brother MasterChef, and Broadchurch, have a 19-year-old son, Joseph, and live in a £3million house in South West London.
She is believed to have amassed a fortune of £10million thanks to roles in ITV soap Coronation Street, BBC’s Clocking Off and ITV’s Where The Heart Is.
