While Heroes of the Storm continues to thrive despite Blizzard ending service for it last year, many avid MOBA fans have jumped ship to League of Legends. One lucky player was spotted by Riot Games caster and LEC star Trevor ‘Quickshot’ Henry, who has gifted them a skin and champion to ‘atone’ for causing chaos in HotS.

Sins of a Solar Empire 2 multiplayer has arrived in early access
A new stage of the Sins of a Solar Empire 2 technical preview has arrived, and that means the sci-fi 4X game now has multiplayer. Players can now jump into existing multiplayer games and take over for an AI faction, or for a player who has to leave. The latest update makes additional changes too, such as updates to ship models and textures and a refresh for the research tree.
Have You Played… Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers?
At a time when LucasArts was cheerfully mocking rival developer Sierra’s fondness for punishing players with game overs you could trigger at the drop of a hat, Sierra themselves seemed intent to double down. In Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, not only can the titular protagonist suffer a variety of gruesome fates if you so much as put a foot wrong, but there’s a point where you can soft-lock the entire game by failing to pick up an easily missable single snake scale from a busy crime scene — and you won’t even know you did anything wrong for several in-game days. I’m not 100% sure this wasn’t an oversight on the part of the developers, but at the same time, that’s exactly the sort of shit that Sierra liked to pull.

Developers are sharing their game dev “sins” and some of them are gleeful
If Twitter does die, I will miss it. Amidst the wailing lie certain gems, like this thread of developers sharing confessions and cheeky tricks from across their careers. We’re talking cobbling rat-tunnel ducts together to form a makeshift flare launcher in Dishonored, or using the bottom of a bleach bottle as a stand-in for a light fixture. I’ve picked out some of my favourites – come and revel in them with me.
Devs are admitting their ‘sins’ on Twitter, and there sure are a lot who hid Loss in games

Space RTS Sins of a Solar Empire 2 enters early access
In space, no one can count your APM. At least, we’re hoping that’s the case for space RTS game Sins of a Solar Empire 2, which has now entered the first phase of its Early Access period. During this technical preview period of development, players will be able to try out a selection of single-player content for one of the sci-fi strategy game’s factions so they can provide valuable feedback for developers Stardock and Ironclad Games.
Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin’s online features have been restored
Praise the sun! Dark Souls II‘s online features for the Scholar Of The First Sin edition are back up and working after months of being down.
Back in January, FromSoftware deactivated online features for the Dark Souls trilogy on PC due to the prominence of hackers and security concerns. Recently, Dark Souls III servers were reactivated (before being deactivated and reactivated again) and now it’s Dark Souls II’s turn. The base version of Dark Souls II will have these features “made available at a later date,” but for now, Scholar Of The First Sin players can continue to invade the fallen kingdom of Drangleic and scribble down messages for others.
