And he has given just a glimpse of what Saints supporters will be in store for this season after firing in his first goal for the club.
Picking up the ball deep in his own half, the ex-Charlton ace glided towards Villarreal’s penalty box where he jinxed past Dani Parejo.

Meanwhile this Rangers supporter simply stated: “This is why we call him sexy feet.”
One then said: “This has got to be goal of the season already!”
Though his goal didn’t matter in the end, as Gerard Romero scored the winner in the 72nd minute.
Still, Aribo was delighted at getting on the score sheet, as he told Southampton’s website: “I was laughing with the boys inside.
“I said I didn’t even know where I pulled that chop on the right foot out from, but it was a really good feeling to score at home and hopefully I can take that into games to come and help the boys this season.
“It’s really important [to have scored] and hopefully I can take that momentum into the games to come.”
