Elon Musk’s bot-baiting aside, Twitter has had many people call for changes to how it identifies accounts and what can be done to call out which ones are more legit than others. Now engineer Jane Manchun Wong has dug up a Twitter label that would put a mark on accounts with a verified phone number. She also noted another test feature showing view counts for tweets, which some users already have access to for their own tweets under the label of “analytics.” However, she said it’s unclear if this would be limited to the author or visible to everyone.
Linking an account to a number is one way to highlight that it was created with more effort than the simplest macro and could be used to filter out which tweets appear the most prominently or…

Royal Mail unveils Transformers stamps with special ink that only works under UV light

Fans will also be able to watch clips from the original TV series when scanning the stamps with the Royal Mail app.

Autobots and Decepticons are in ’80s style and include favourites such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron.
The release pays tribute to the British contribution to the robot franchise.
The designs were created by UK comic artists Andrew Wildman, Stephen Baskerville and John-Paul Bove.
The stamps have been printed with UV ink, which reveals each of the character’s faction logos and names in the Cybertronian alphabet when shone under UV light.

Collectors will also be able to watch a unique AR animation by scanning the stamps using the Royal Mail app.
They will be able to watch a clip from the original animated Transformers TV series.
Royal Mail’s Matt Parkes said that British writers and artists had made a “substantial” contribution to the Transformers franchise.
He said they “continue to do so and have inspired new artists to do the same”.

He added: “We are delighted to be able to celebrate their work with this stunning set of stamps – which calls back not only to the early comics but also – by using the Royal Mail App to trigger hidden content – the original cartoon series as well.”
