Ubisoft will reveal more Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Red details in May
With a few well-received games under its belt in recent months, Ubisoft will be looking to keep up its momentum into 2024 and beyond. The publisher may well be gearing up to host an Ubisoft Forward event in May, as that’s when it’s promised to reveal more details about several of its upcoming projects.
In the company’s latest earnings report, it said it will reveal the bulk of its lineup for the 2024-25 fiscal year, which runs through March 2025, in May. It will unveil more details about Star Wars Outlaws and a Japan-set Assassin’s Creed game codenamed “Red,” as well as free-to-play mobile titles The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile. The latter will arrive roughly two years than first expected.
Ubisoft previously indicated that Outlaws, which is slated to be a truly open-world Star Wars game, is scheduled to arrive later this year. We can also now expect Assassin’s Creed Red (or whatever its official name is) to drop before April 2025 as well.
Meanwhile, there’s likely to be some news on the XDefiant front soon too. Ubisofot expects “a limited contribution from XDefiant” to its bottom line this quarter, so perhaps that’s when the free-to-play tactical shooter will arrive. Plus, after many, many delays, Ubisoft will at long last release Skull and Bones next week.

Donald Glover reminds Star Wars fans the Lando Calrissian movie is still on and that he has “enough control”
Donald Glover is one of the busiest artists in Hollywood at the moment, yet he’s finding time to work on a Lando Calrissian-led Star Wars movie born from the scrapped Disney+ series announced ages ago.
We learned about the project’s transition last year, and while Disney and Lucasfilm’s most pressing movie plans for the franchise include a Mandalorian & Grogu movie, a Rey-centric sequel to Episode IX, and a ‘Dawn of the Jedi’ type of epic, there are many more theatrical projects floating around. Chances are most of them won’t see the light of day, but it appears that Glover is committed to making the Lando movie sooner or later.
While talking to The Hollywood Reporter about the state of his career and the Mr. & Mrs. Smith Prime Video series he co-stars in alongside Maya Erskine, he was asked about why and how he’s approaching the long-in-the-works Lando spinoff, and his answer wasn’t as simple or timid as you’d expect. “I said yes because I like the characters and my kids love Star Wars,” Glover said, “I feel like I have enough control. And maybe you get painted as a control freak, but it’s like, yeah, control allows for the vision to be singular. And if the vision is singular, people want it more.”

Kate will be back on Good Morning Britain on Monday just three days after her beloved Derek Draper‘s funeral.
The brave widow previously revealed she will return to our screens following the tragedy because “life has to start” again.
Holding back tears she said: “I don’t know how it’s going to be. Grief isn’t containable in a day or year.
“People ask why I’m going back to work. Life has to start. We have to pick ourselves up and go on.
“That’s what Derek would want me to do. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.”
She also revealed that son Billy was heading back to school.
“We have to pick ourselves up, that’s what Derek did and would want us to do”, she added.
“Grieving will continue. We’re in the foothills. Anyone who’s been through it will know. There’s a long way to go.”
Kate was last seen on GMB on December 8 before taking a break to look after Derek following his deterioration.
He sadly died less than a month later on January 3.
Talking about Derek’s four-year battle, Kate said it was important that he didn’t feel like he was letting his family down.
She said: “Derek’s spirit and fight to keep going, and the children, have been extraordinary throughout.
“It feels like five years and two minutes since Derek was in a positive place before the cardiac arrest which took him from us.
“It was the furthest from the spectre of death we could have been.
“It was a challenge to make sure he knew that he wasn’t letting us down because he couldn’t get through this last one.
“They were so beautiful, the children about that.
“Darcey said ‘If you can’t do this it’s okay, don’t worry about us. We will be OK. Don’t worry about mum. We will be fine. You don’t have to worry about looking after us all. You will live on through us’.
Last week, Kate said goodbye to Derek at his star-studded funeral.
The funeral of Derek Draper, which was attended by figures including former prime minister Sir Tony Blair, musician Sir Elton John and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, was held on Friday at the Church of St Mary The Virgin in Primrose Hill, north-west London.
It comes as…
- Kate revealed she held her husband’s hand as he died
- Derek’s last photo shows him at pal Peter Mandeson’s wedding
- Kate’s co-stars including Susanna Reid have led tributes to the dad-of-two
- Derek’s health battles revealed after he suffered heart attack before Christmas
- ITV bosses will give Kate ‘as much time off as she needs’
Former political lobbyist-turned-psychologist Draper married the GMB presenter at the same church in September 2005.
Draper fell seriously ill during the early part of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 and spent 13 months in hospital before he was discharged.
He died on January 3 aged 56 after suffering long-lasting symptoms from coronavirus.
Despite being scheduled to return full-time, ITV have offered their full support and said she can take time off as and when.
Heartbroken Kate has told pals she is keen to keep busy and get stuck into work as she continues to mourn Derek.
Mum-of-two Kate has also told bosses at Smooth FM she is keen to host her popular morning radio show there as well.
A source said: “Kate has had an incredibly rough past couple of months, and it has taken its toll mentally and physically.
“But she is a workhorse, and journalism, being on live TV, runs through her blood — it’s what she knows and loves.
“Kate is keen to keep busy and get stuck back into work.”

Masked men kidnapped her after luring her to Milan with promises of a lucrative photoshoot which turned out to be fake.
BBC bosses are dramatising the horrific ordeal in a brand new BBC Three thriller called Kidnapped.
The broadcaster has revealed Nadia Parkes will play the model for the six-part series.
A first look image shows Nadia, 28, in the role as her character faces the press.
The show will tell Ayling’s story based on her own book about the event.
It will also draw on detailed research, extensive interviews and documented legal proceedings.
Georgia Lester, who is best known for writing Channel 4‘s Skins and smash-hit show Killing Eve, has penned the series.
The Beeb has not yet revealed when the show will air but it’s expected later this year.
Previously speaking about the show, Chloe told the Mirror: “I am excited that BBC Studios are telling my story and that the wider world will get to know the truth about what happened to me and learn of the many details that weren’t brought to light originally.
“Georgia Lester and the team have been incredibly supportive in our conversations, and I couldn’t be happier that they are making this series.”

Marvel’s Eternals Star Kumail Nanjiani Went To Therapy After Bad Reviews
Kumail Nanjiani has revealed he began therapy after “reading every review” for the poorly received 2021 Marvel movie Eternals, in which he played Kingo.
Speaking to Michael Rosenbaum (via Variety), Nanjiani said what made things really difficult for him was that he was under the impression Marvel thought the film would get great reviews. Reviews for Eternals did not, however, turn out to be very good in aggregate. The movie is among the lowest-rated MCU films ever.
Also in the interview, Nanjiani said the atmosphere surrounding Eternals felt “heightened” due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.
