‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’ pre-order customers can play the story a week early
Do you feel guilty for playing a game’s single-player campaign on release day when all your friends are jumping into the multiplayer mode? You won’t have that burden with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Activision has revealed that pre-order customers can play the MW2 story starting October 20th, a week before the game officially debuts on October 28th. You can get the solo content out of the way before you spend all your hours online.
As mentioned before, pre-order purchasers also get two-day early access to MW2‘s open beta sessions as well as instant use of special character and weapon skins. Splurge on the Vault Edition and you also get a Battle Pass for the first season as well as characters and cosmetics accessible in the open beta, Warzone and even the original Modern Warfare remake.
Activision is promising more details for MW2 and the next Warzone (including its new mobile version) at an hours-long Call of Duty event on September 15th. However, the advance access to single-player gameplay shows the company’s priorities. While it’s still committed to furthering the series’ plot, it sees this latest game as the foundation for a new multiplayer experience.
She-Hulk Writer Talks Budget Constraints And Post-Production Story Changes
Ahead of its impending premiere on Disney+, She Hulk head writer Jessica Gao has revealed more about what parts of the show have changed in post, and what elements have remained since its conception. In an interview with Variety, Gao talks budget constraints, expensive CGI, and how to pace the introduction of a new hero.
In writing the show, Gao admits that she didn’t have as much understanding as she might have liked around the logistics of filming such a CGI-heavy show. “When we were writing the show, I don’t think anybody really knew exactly how we were going to do this CGI character,” she explains. “From the beginning, I asked Kevin [Feige], ‘How much can we do? How cost-conscious should I be? Give me some guidelines.’ And he said, ‘If I’m gonna watch a show called She-Hulk, I want to see She-Hulk.’ That kind of was the carte blanche to just write it however I wanted.”
When budget issues did come to the fore, it required cutting more scenes involving She-Hulk. “Once we got into pre-production and production itself, once somebody had to sit down and start figuring out the cost of everything, it was like every week, I was told, ‘Can you cut more She-Hulk scenes? Can you change more She-Hulk scenes to Jen? Can she be Jen in more scenes?'” Gao explains. “Even in post, you know, we had to cut a lot of shots by virtue just because it was She-Hulk.”
Why She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Tweaked the Character’s Origin Story
She-Hulk comic book fans might be a little confused later this week when the character finally makes her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the comics, the character’s origin happens when Jennifer Walters, successful lawyer and cousin to Bruce Banner, is shot in a mob hit. Her cousin tries to save her but…

New Apex Legends Leak Appears To Reveal Shocking Story Developments
Just hours after a long-time Apex Legends dataminer revealed what appears to be an unreleased tutorial trailer, another discovery has been made–and this one has some very interesting narrative implications. The leak appears to show a page from an unreleased chapter of this season’s story, and the contents are nothing short of electrifying.
All leaks should be analyzed with some skepticism, but the leaker has an excellent track record when it comes to accuracy, so it is quite possible that the leak is indeed legitimate. There are massive spoilers ahead, so don’t read any further if you’re trying to avoid them.
The leak in question displays a page from this season’s story arc in which Wattson is having a very interesting conversation with Mila Alexander, the adopted sister of Crypto (and technically, Caustic). Mila has been missing for years, after she and Crypto discovered an algorithm that could potentially rig the Apex Games. When the Syndicate became aware that the siblings had uncovered their dirty little secret, they went nuclear, kidnapping Mila and framing Crypto–real name Tae Joon Park–for her murder.
God of War’s story recap reminds you why everyone’s so excited about this year’s biggest PlayStation game
If it’s been a while since you’ve played 2018’s God of War, you’re in luck, as PlayStation has created a very convenient recap video.
With the amount of games there are to get through practically on a daily basis, it would be pretty understandable if the story of the practically ancient (four years counts as ancient) God of War didn’t manage to stick around in your head for too long. Thankfully, over on the PlayStation blog we’ve been gifted with a recap, paired with a Myths of Midgard video narrated by actress Felicia Day.
The blog post is pretty much your standard recap affair. It reminds you who Krato is, if you managed to forget, and his son, Atreus, also known as capital B Boy. To go along with the important plot beats, you’ve got some screenshots that help visualise everything, but the better way to refamiliarise yourself with the story is the video.
