Storybook strategy sim Six Ages 2 treks to PC this summer
Storybook strategy sim Six Ages: Ride Like The Wind was a spiritual successor to 1999’s cult classic King Of Dragon Pass, created by some of that game’s former developers. Six Ages is now receiving its own proper successor later this summer, developer A Sharp and publisher Kitfox have announced. Just like its predecessor, Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out is a blend of tribal management and choose your own adventure drills, all wrapped up in some gorgeous fantasy illustrations.
Dave Bautista Says Guardians 3 Is A “Storybook Ending” For Drax
Dave Bautista is returning one final time to play Drax in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 later this year. It’ll be his third Guardians movie and seventh time appearing in an MCU production as the hulking character. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Bautista commented on saying goodbye to the character, confirming that Drax is getting a “storybook” sendoff.
“It’s hard [to walk away], but it’s time. It’s the perfect exit. We all had those perfect kind of character arcs. It’s such a storybook ending,” Bautista said (via Variety).
He said it’s similar to how he wrapped up his wrestling career, saying he enjoyed that final sendoff and hopes the same is true for Drax.
Beacon Pines’ verb-collecting storybook adventure launches September
Several of my favourite games are basically just choose-your-own-adventure books and Beacon Pines makes that connection more explicit. It’s an adventure game where you explore environments and unlock new words, which you can then deploy during pivotal story moments when the camera pulls back to reveal the whole game takes place on the pages of a book.
It looks great, and it now has a release date: September 22nd.
