Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak comes to PlayStation and Xbox in April
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is coming to PlayStation and Xbox, and it will arrive on both systems on April 28.
The news was announced yesterday by Capcom during a presentation, stating the former PC and Switch exclusive would be released for additional platforms.
The expansion takes place after the events of the main game, and introduces new monsters, including the Three Lords. Sunrise also introduces additional locations, characters, and actions, such as the Switch Skill Swap.

Monster Hunter: Rise Sunbreak Release Date For PlayStation And Xbox Confirmed For April
Only moments before the start of March 9’s Capcom Showcase, the Xbox and PlayStation release date for Monster Hunter: Rise’s latest expansion was revealed thanks to a listing update on PlayStation’s digital storefront. According to the listing, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will officially be released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles on April 28, 2023.
The publisher confirmed this release date in its Capcom Showcase before announcing an additional digital event focusing on even more post-launch content is scheduled for April. This stream will also go hand-in-hand with Monster Hunter Rise’s Title 5 update, which is slated to add a returning Elder dragon and a powered-up monster to the game.
The Sunbreak expansion first launched for PC and Nintendo Switch in June 2022, and added a brand-new story that picks up shortly after the events of the main game. It also features three new, powerful creatures known as the Three Lords: Garangolm, the Fanged Wyvern Lunagaron, and the Elder Dragon Malzeno–each of which the player will take on. Sunbreak has already sold more than 2 million copies across Switch and PC.

A big patch is about to arrive for Monster Hunter Rise, specifically adding new content for the Sunbreak expansion. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Title Update 4 will launch February 7, and Capcom has helpfully published the patch notes ahead of schedule so we all know what’s changing in its fantastical co-op game.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak update 4 will add two elder dragons
Two powerful elder dragons will be arriving in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak next week with the launch of the next major patch. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Title Update 4 includes the ice dragon Velkhana and Valstrax, the fiery comet dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. The update for the fantasy co-op game arrives February 7, and it includes the usual buffet of new cosmetics, quests, and more as well.

The next Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak update adds full hunter loadouts
In the world of Monster Hunter, looking sharp is at least as important as keeping your blades keen, and the next Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak update is going to make it easier to do both. A new feature coming in Title Update 4 for the co-op game will allow you to create full ‘hunter loadouts’ that cover your hunter’s gear loadout, item selections, and layered armours.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak title update 3 detailed, hits November 24
During today’s Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event, Capcom announced that Free Title Update 3 will release on November 24.
The update features three new monsters, more options for customizing the appearance and performance of weapons and armor, plus changes for Anomaly Investigations, Anomaly Quests, and the Follower system.
The new monsters are Chaotic Gore Magala, Risen Teostra, and Risen Kushala Daora.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players will face a twisted new form of Elder Dragon in Title Update 2
Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak arrives at the end of the month, and Capcom showed off a bit of it at TGS 2022.
The TGS trailer shows the issues facing the Elgado Outpost alongside some of the new tools you will be using.
The update sets the stage for the previously announced return of Flaming Espinas from Monster Hunter Frontier and the reveal of Violet Mizutsune. This creature emits bubbles that are filled with combustible gas that can erupt into an inferno of white-hot flame.
