This Doom-powered, nautical shooter boldly asks ‘what if Spongebob was on Adult Swim in 2006’
I’m a midsize mama – I wondered if Skims swim would work for me but it absolutely does, women say they’re ‘influenced’
A MIDSIZE mother and fashion fan has revealed her look in Kim Kardashian’s Skims swimwear line.
She tried two swimsuits from Skims, which has people lining up to purchase them.
Alex Pistorio (@alex_pistorio) showed the swimsuits in their original packaging.
“POV: you’re a mama wondering if Skims will work for her,” read text over the video.
In the TikTok post, she revealed her look in the first swimsuit.
She turned heads in the hot pink number, which had white trim throughout the swimsuit.
Finally she tried an all black swimsuit with white trim.
The blonde beauty completed the look with a ruched swim skirt.
The fashionable mother had inspiring words for other moms looking to slay this summer.
“Wear the swimsuit mamas,” she added in the caption.
Alex’s haul was a hit with viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“I’m influenced,” one wrote. “Need.”
“I need the skirt in more colors,” Alex wrote back.
“Such a babe,” another added.
“Coming from you,” Alex replied.
The video came as part of a body positive trend in time for summer where women of all walks of life are showing off their swimwear.
I’m a plus-size mom – I did a mini haul from Skims, I had to keep ‘hiking up’ my boobs in the gray swim top
A PLUS-SIZE influencer has shared her thoughts on her mini Skims haul.
The curvy creator modeled the stylish looks from Kim Kardashian’s brand.
TikTok user Maddy Gutierrez (@maddy_gutierrez_) explained: “Skims is very hit or miss for me and I haven’t tried anything on yet so we’re going to see how these work.”
In her video, Maddy modeled the $44 Boyfriend T-shirt in the color Dark Heather Grey and the matching $28 Boyfriend boxers.
The Manhattan mom told her followers that she planned to wear the sets as pajamas.
She explained: “I just love an oversized T-shirt for bedtime but I kind of wanted to feel a little bit more with it.
“Honestly, I’m kind of obsessed, I really love them. I love how high the neckline is on this and the material feels like you have washed this 100 times, in the best possible way. It’s just so soft,” she said.
Maddy continued: “The boxers are nice and high-waisted, which I really appreciate. They’re not tight at all, they’re like actual underwear, they don’t feel like athletic wear.”
The influencer concluded: “I can see myself wearing this every night to bed. Immediately going to buy more colors.”
Maddy also tried on the $64 shaping swim tank bikini top in the color Gunmetal.
“I think that there are some serious pros and cons,” the TikTok user told viewers.
She detailed: “First of all, there’s zero bra inside. I’m here for the no removable cups but there’s not even a shelf bra.
“I just feel like my boobs are going to progressively get lower and lower. Unless I’m continuing to hike them up.”
Maddy added: “The material is incredibly thick and it feels like really good quality. The straps are not adjustable, which bothers me. It just feels a little too compressive down here.”
The influencer concluded: “I’m really impressed with the quality of the swim top but I don’t think that I’m going to be keeping it.”
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the haul.
“You’re right about the top. I kept adjusting, so I adjusted it back into the package and mailed it back,” one viewer said.
Another follower wrote: “Love a high neckline. Thanks for the review, especially the swim top. I need at least a shelf bra and adjustable straps DEF!!”
“Soooo glad you tried the boxers! I’ve been on the fence but the waistband had me hesitating, I assumed it would be tight and constricting on me,” commented a third person.
Adult Swim Revives Aqua Teen Hunger Force For Season 12
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, also known as Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 and Aqua Something You Know Whatever, aired on Adult Swim from the very beginning of the TV block’s inception in 2001, and dropped the last of its 138 episodes in 2015. Now, 8 years later, the anthropomorphic food misanthropes are back for a 12th season, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Adult Swim announced today that it has ordered five new episodes of the series. Creators Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro are back to oversee the show, with Dana Snyder (Master Shake), Cary Means (Frylock) and Willis (Meatwad, Carl, Ignignokt) are all returning to voice their respective characters.
“We are thrilled to be making more Aqua Teen Hunger Force episodes for a new generation of fans, building upon the most impressive collection of IP ever assembled,” the creators said in a statement. “Success is optimal and leads to quality.”
Adult Swim dumps ‘Rick and Morty’ co-creator and star Justin Roiland after domestic violence charges
Adult Swim has cut ties with Rick and Morty co-creator and star Justin Roiland, and is moving forward with the cult show’s new season without him. The announcement comes in the wake of felony domestic violence charges against Roiland being made public.
Roiland’s presumably involuntary departure was revealed in a post on the official Rick and Morty Twitter account on Tuesday. The post was subsequently retweeted by the official Adult Swim account.
“Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland,” the account wrote in a black and white text image. “Rick and Morty will continue. The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on Season 7.”
In addition to co-creating and executive producing Rick and Morty, Roiland has provided the voice for both title characters for all six seasons of the show thus far. A spokesperson for Adult Swim’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery has said these roles will now be recast.
Roiland was charged with domestic violence in May 2020, however the public wasn’t made aware of the case until he appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing earlier this month. NBC News reported that the 42-year-old has pleaded not guilty to two felonies: domestic battery with corporal injury, and false imprisonment by menace, fraud, violence, or deceit. His hearing is currently scheduled for Apr. 27.
Adult Swim ordered at least 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty back in 2018, signing a long term deal with Roiland and co-creator Dan Harmon. The show has since released 30 episodes across three seasons, meaning more than half of that original 70-episode order will now be made with a new cast.
UPDATE: Jan. 25, 2023, 12:02 p.m. AEDT High on Life developer Squanch Games has just announced it is also no longer working with Roiland. “On January 16, 2023, Squanch Games received Justin Roiland’s resignation,” the studio announced via Twitter. “The passionate team at Squanch will keep developing games we know our fans will love while continuing to support and improve High on Life.”
Released in December last year, High on Life is a first-person shooter based on a concept by Roiland, who was heavily involved in its development.
