SNL’s Weekend Update tackles TikTok, AI chatbots, and Chipotle
SNL’s Weekend Update rounded up quite the mixed-bag of news this week, including a proposed TikTok ban, Chipotle burrito sales, and cheese-induced nightmares.
Co-hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost went all in on the internet’s trending topics, including the state of AI chatbots. They simultaneously roasted the de-facto TikTok lobby and last year’s abortion ban in Texas, nailed musician Kanye West for thinking of himself as both “Jesus and Hitler”, and even questioned the world’s oldest living dog.
The two traded joke after joke for the rest of the sketch, and, as always, made sure to remind viewers that the jokes and reality have become pretty blurred.
SNL’s Weekend Update tackles George Santos lies
SNL‘s Weekend Update tackled the many lies told by Republican Rep. George Santos.
Co-host Colin Jost roasted some of the sillier falsehoods Santos peddled, including being a star volleyball player.
“Of all of George Santos’ lies, my favorite was that he was a standout volleyball for Baruch College,” Jost said. “Now, that is a fine-to-be but an insane thing to pretend to be. Like that’s his fantasy?”
Honestly, that’s a good point. From there, Jost and co-host Michael Che fired off some more jokes about Santos before getting into other headlines like the documents found at the house of President Joe Biden.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update tackles the newest Kanye controversy, rail strikes, and more
Isn’t it crazy that between Alex Jones and Kayne West, Jones is the one who appears the least insane? That’s also what the host of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update thinks as they cover the latest headlines from the past week.
Starting with Ye’s appearance on the InfoWars podcast, co-host Colin Yost joke that “At this point, I don’t think Kanye is off his meds as much as he’s immune to them. We’re basically dealing with the Omnicom variant of Kanye.”
Continuing on, co-host Michael Che remarks that President Joe Biden is forcing rail workers to accept their union deal with no paid sick leave despite the President himself “shows up to work every day with full-blown CTE.”
Jost and Che spend the rest of the video covering more Herschel Walker madness, attempts by the Biden administration to make South Carolina the first presidential primary state instead of Iowa, and reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin fell down the stairs and soiled himself. “Is there a video?”

Minecraft build boldly tackles the entire universe
A Minecraft build can fairly comfortably show off just about anything you can think of. One of the greatest joys of this sandbox game is that creativity is basically all that matters, and it means you can build nearly anything you can imagine as long as you’ve got the patience. As it turns out, that includes the entire universe.
