Samsung Mocks Apple for Lack of Foldable iPhone in New World Cup Themed Ad
In the ad posted on one of Samsung’s Weibo accounts, Galaxy Flip phones can be seen as fans in a soccer stadium, themed after the 2022 World Cup. While the Galaxy Flip phones are cheering and flipping in the stands, a few smartphones, clearly resembling iPhones, remain in the audience, standing still with sad emojis shown on their displays as they look around at the sea of Galaxy Flip phones. Text at the end of the commercial reads, “it’s time to fold together.”
This is not the first time Samsung has made fun of Apple and its lack of a foldable and flippable phones. In an ad last month, Samsung made fun of how Apple users are always waiting for new features, “because that’s what we do. We wait,” the ad mocks a fake Apple employee as saying.

Seagate Announces Dual-Actuator MACH.2 Drive – and Star Wars, Black Panther Themed Drives
MACH.2 is the world’s first multi-actuator hard drive technology, containing two independent actuators that transfer data concurrently. MACH.2 solves the need for increased performance by enabling parallelism of data flows in and out of a single hard drive. By allowing the data center host computer to request and receive data from two areas of the drive simultaneously, MACH.2 doubles the IOPS performance of each individual hard drive…. MACH.2 provides up to 2x performance — with two independent actuators and data paths, it enables concurrent I/O streams to and from the host.
Seagate claims it offers “optimal latency” by improving sequential peformance to double data transfer rates over single-actuator drives.
And in other news, Seagate is selling hard drives with commemorative Star Wars themes, including the Mandalorian drive, the Grogu drive, and the Boba Fett drive. (It’s in addition to Seagate’s officially licensed external drive for God of War Ragnarök — optimised for PS4 and PS5, delivering “the ability to play PS4 games directly from the drive.”) Seagate also made drives commemorating Marvel’s Avengers and Spider-Man, and now has new drives for Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever .

Rocket League gets new basketball themed event – for those bored of good ol’ football
Brace yourself Rocket League players, hold onto something I swear to god this is gonna shake you to your core. From now until October 18, the Hoops event is live which, instead of revelling in the lovely, relaxing, embracing football we’ve grown, we’ve gotten another basketball arena. I’m shaking.
That’s right, with a new arena called “The Block”, players will be able to shoot balls into — get this — large circular hoops at each side of the arena, as opposed to the smaller, elegant goals Rocket League is known for.
There’s more! With the new arena and event there’s challenges are rewards to dive — or drive — into. Rewards include the illustrious new game time player anthem, and the animated double dribble topper. What a mouthful, and one you’ll want to nab before the event goes forever.
