Gran Turismo 7 To Celebrate Series’ 25th Anniversary With Exclusive In-Game Content
Gran Turismo 7 will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of the franchise by rewarding players with special in-game items, bonus rewards, and more.
From now until December 5, players can increase their rewards for each race in Sports mode. This mode features a race similar to the one in the World Finals, but will allow players to earn up to five times the amount of credits upon completion. Players will also be able to earn additional credit through Online Time Trails, which task racers with completing tracks of the World Finals races in a limited amount of time.
Those who tune into any Gran Turismo 7 live streams will be rewarded the Viewers Gift, and if they watch the World Finals and answer the Day 4 question, they’ll receive the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo. The last day to earn these rewards is December 4 at 7:59 AM PST / 3:59 PM GMT.

Gran Turismo 7 could come to PC, series creator says
PlayStation-exclusive racing sim Gran Turismo 7 might make its way to PC, series lead and creator Kazunori Yamauchi has let slip in an interview. GTPlanet report that Yamauchi made the comments when asked about the possibility of a port, given that more and more PlayStation games are heading in PC’s direction. The 25-year-old racing series has always been a die-hard exclusive for Sony’s consoles up until now.
Gran Turismo 7 on PC? It could still happen, suggests Polyphony Digital
This weekend just gone, it was the Gran Turismo World Finals, as well as Gran Turismo’s 25th Anniversary. During the event, it was revealed that Polyphony Digital could possibly port Gran Turismo 7 to PC platforms.
Sitting down with Gran Turismo’s creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, GTPlanet picked the game designer’s brain. Given that Sony is making the move of bringing some of its series’ to PC, including God of War and Spider-Man, this raises whether Yamauchi would consider letting the Gran Turismo series come to PC.
“Yes, I do think so,” said Yamauchi. “Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There are not many platforms which could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform…”

Gran Turismo chief says devs are ‘looking into’ a PC port
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi isn’t ruling out a PC port for the long-running racing sim franchise. In an interview with GTPlanet (via Eurogamer) during the Gran Turismo World Finals on Sunday, Yamauchi told the outlet that the Polyphony Digital development team is “looking into” bringing the series from PlayStation to PC.
“Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title,” Yamauchi told GTPlanet, while also expressing some concern about getting the game to consistently run in 4K at 60 frames per second across all platforms. “It’s not a very easy subject, but of course, we are looking into it and considering it.”

Ferrari’s Vision hybrid race car arrives in ‘Gran Turismo 7’ on December 23rd
Since 2013, Gran Turismo’s Vision project has seen some of the world’s largest automakers, including Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz, imagine what their cars could look like without real-world constraints. Over the weekend, GT series developer Polyphony Digital announced the latest addition to the Vision stable, an entry from Ferrari, would arrive in Gran Turismo 7 on December 23rd.
Like its predecessors, the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo features capabilities that would put any production vehicle to shame. Ferrari outfitted the concept car with “a more extreme version” of the V6 engine found on the 499P hypercar the automaker plans to field at next year’s Le Mans endurance race. In-game, the single-seat hybrid will produce more than 1,000 horsepower, with three electric motors providing additional power.
“We wanted to create a vision of the future designed without constraint, but born from Ferrari’s unrivalled understanding of engineering, aerodynamics and future technologies, and deliver it into the digital world for a whole new audience to experience,” said Ferrari Design Director Flavio Manzoni. Ferrari fans should keep their eyes out for an in-game quiz. Completing it before anyone else will grant early access to the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo.
