The revelation will put further pressure on Sir Keir Starmer to prevent the veteran MP from standing again as a candidate for the party at the next election.
She had claimed that Jewish people are subject to prejudice similar to that received by redheads in an explosive anti-Semetic letter
Abbott apologised for her remarks saying she completely disassociated herself from the comments that were published on Sunday.
Sir Keir said he “utterly condemned” the remarks and were anti-Semitic in his view.
She has requested a meeting with Rabbi Herschel Gluck in her east London constituency later this week to heal the rift.

New Microsoft Teams promises twice the speed
Microsoft Says Its New Version of Teams Is Twice As Fast
During Teams video calls, the software will show every participant on screen in a box of the same size, rather than giving more space to participants with their cameras on. Until now, Teams calls have sometimes resembled Piet Mondrian paintings characterized by their squares and rectangles of varying sizes and colors. Microsoft is also adjusting Teams so that people who belong to multiple organizations can more easily stay on top of what’s going on. “Instead of logging in and out of different tenants and accounts, you can now stay signed in across them all — receiving notifications no matter which one you are currently using,” [Jeff Teper, president of collaborative apps and platforms at Microsoft] wrote in a blog post.

She maintained her composure, pushing through to present alongside a person in a bear suit[/caption]
Elizabeth, 49, was chosen to present the award for best visual effects alongside a person in a bear suit.
She stumbled as she made her way to the microphone but managed to remain on her feet.
Her voice was hoarse, which she continually apologized for, and she appeared to be not feeling her best.
The Call Jane star seemed less than enthused but did maintain her composure, even after she nearly fell to the ground multiple times.
She listed the nominees before announcing Avatar: The Way of Water as the winner.
Fans flocked to Twitter to weigh in on her on-stage appearance, sympathizing with her.
FANS REACT
“Elizabeth Banks’ cracked voice is me after a night out w my girls,” one fan wrote.
Another Twitter user joked: “Elizabeth Banks nearly had a Jennifer Lawrence moment.”
Jennifer famously tripped while making her way to the stage to accept an award years prior.
Another suggested: “Someone please rescue Elizabeth Banks from whoever made her do this. Painful.”
A fourth fan wrote: “Somebody give Elizabeth Banks a f**king glass of water!”
Someone else joked: “Elizabeth Banks almost pulling a Jennifer Lawrence while the Cocaine Bear hunts her down on the #Oscars stage didn’t work for me!”
Another Twitter user wrote: “Elizabeth Banks almost bit the dust!”
YIKES!
There were plenty of buzz-worthy moments during the Oscars – not just Elizabeth’s near slip and fall.
Host Jimmy Kimmel kicked the show off with a bang.
He delivered a lengthy monologue poking fun a pop culture moments and celebrities who were and weren’t in attendance.
Eventually, he came around to the elephant in the room: Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during the 2023 Oscars.
The late night TV host joked: “We know this is a special night for you. We want you to have fun, we want you to feel safe and, most importantly, we want me to feel safe so we have strict policies in place.
“If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point in this show, you will be awarded the Oscar for best actor and permitted to give a 19-minute long speech.”
He went on: “No but seriously, the Academy has a crisis team in place. If anything unpredictable or violent happens during the ceremony, just do what you did last year: nothing.
“Sit there and do absolutely nothing. Maybe even give the assailant a hug and if any of you get mad at a joke and decide you want to come up here and get jiggy with it, it’s not gonna be easy. There are a few of my friends you’re gonna have to get through first.”
Jimmy then pointed out a few celebrities in the crowd who he claimed would protect him, including Creed star Michael B. Jordan and Everything, Everywhere, All at Once star Michelle Yeoh.
Will, 54, was not in attendance at the show and was barred from presenting after last year’s shocking incident.
He hit host Chris, 58, after he cracked a joke on stage about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from alopecia.

Think Twice Before Using Google To Download Software, Researchers Warn
The surge is coming from numerous malware families, including AuroraStealer, IcedID, Meta Stealer, RedLine Stealer, Vidar, Formbook, and XLoader. In the past, these families typically relied on phishing and malicious spam that attached Microsoft Word documents with booby-trapped macros. Over the past month, Google Ads has become the go-to place for criminals to spread their malicious wares that are disguised as legitimate downloads by impersonating brands such as Adobe Reader, Gimp, Microsoft Teams, OBS, Slack, Tor, and Thunderbird.
On the same day that Spamhaus published its report, researchers from security firm Sentinel One documented an advanced Google malvertising campaign pushing multiple malicious loaders implemented in .NET. Sentinel One has dubbed these loaders MalVirt. At the moment, the MalVirt loaders are being used to distribute malware most commonly known as XLoader, available for both Windows and macOS. XLoader is a successor to malware also known as Formbook. Threat actors use XLoader to steal contacts’ data and other sensitive information from infected devices. The MalVirt loaders use obfuscated virtualization to evade end-point protection and analysis. To disguise real C2 traffic and evade network detections, MalVirt beacons to decoy command and control servers hosted at providers including Azure, Tucows, Choopa, and Namecheap. “Until Google devises new defenses, the decoy domains and other obfuscation techniques remain an effective way to conceal the true control servers used in the rampant MalVirt and other malvertising campaigns,” concludes Ars. “It’s clear at the moment that malvertisers have gained the upper hand over Google’s considerable might.”
