Apple’s 2013 and 2014 iMacs Now Obsolete, Apple Watch Series 2 Marked as Vintage
Obsoleted Macs include the late 2013 21.5 and 27-inch iMacs, the mid-2014 21.5-inch iMac, and the late 2014 27-inch Retina 5K iMac. The late 2014 27-inch iMac was the first iMac with a 5K Retina display. At the time, Apple’s Phil Schiller said it was the “most insanely great Mac we have ever made.”
Apple designates products as obsolete seven years after they were last on sale. All hardware service is discontinued for obsolete products, and service providers are not able to order parts for obsolete devices. The 2013 and 2014 iMacs will no longer be able to be repaired with components from Apple.
Apple today also marked the Apple Watch Series 2 as vintage. The vintage products list features devices that Apple stopped distributing for sale more than five years ago and less than seven years ago. Apple provides service and parts for vintage devices for up to 7 years, or as required by law, but repairs are subject to parts availability.
Both the original Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Series 2 are considered vintage, with the Series 2 having come out in 2016.

Hunter From Bad Batch Gets New Star Wars Vintage Collection Figure, Check It Out Here
It’s Hasbro Pulse Con weekend, and there were plenty of reveals from the various IPs the toy giant works with. One of the reveals was a new figure in the Star Wars Vintage Collection: Hunter from Star Wars The Bad Batch.
The figure doesn’t have a release date as of this writing, but the 3.75-inch toy is modeled after Hunter’s appearance on the Disney+ series. GameSpot has a closer look at the figure and the packaging as well. It wouldn’t be a Vintage Collection figure without that classic Kenner-inspired box art, wouldn’t it? Check out images from the upcoming collectible below.
With multiple points of articulation, Hunter comes with his blaster and his helmet as well. Pricing has not been revealed, but if you look at other single figures in the Vintage Collection series, they’re all priced $15-$17 each, so you can expect Hunter to cost around that.
Apple Adds iPhone 6 to ‘Vintage Product’ List
The iPhone 6 was released in September 2014 alongside the iPhone 6 Plus. It was sold in 2015 as a lower-cost option following the launch of the iPhone 6s, and then discontinued in 2016 alongside the launch of the iPhone 7. It was reintroduced as a low-cost iPhone in select countries in 2017, and it continued to be sold until September 2018.
The iPhone 6 Plus, the sister phone to the iPhone 6, was added to the vintage list earlier this year.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were notable for being the first devices to offer support for Apple Pay and for marking the first year that Apple offered the iPhone in multiple size options. Apple has continued on with the multi-size release strategy since the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launch.
The vintage products list features devices that Apple stopped distributing for sale more than five years ago and less than seven years ago. Apple provides service and parts for vintage devices for up to 7 years, or as required by law, but repairs are subject to parts availability.
Obsolete products are products that Apple stopped distributing for sale more than seven years ago. All hardware service is discontinued for obsolete products, with the exception of Mac notebooks eligible for battery-only repair.
In addition to adding the iPhone 6 to the vintage list, Apple has moved the 2012 iPod nano 7 and the fifth-generation iPod touch from the vintage list to the obsolete list, while the 2015 iPod nano models are now listed as vintage. The fourth-generation iPod shuffle from 2012 was moved to the obsolete list, and the 2015 version is now listed as vintage.
