Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players are facing a new affliction; no, it isn’t falling through the floor during battle or the previously scuffed Battle Stadium, it’s worse than that. First reported by Kotaku, players of the game have reported on Reddit that they’ve lost their save files unexpectedly.
The worst part of all this, as noted by Kotaku, is the fact that there is no single cause for this save-deleting bug that’s afflicting a handful of players. Some have reported it happening after connecting Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to the Pokemon GO app, others said it occurred after downloading the new DLC, and some have had a different experience entirely.
Another player’s save files became corrupted after simply purchasing the DLC, seeing them bid farewell to 90 shiny Pokemon, and they’re not the only one losing their hard work. Players that have lost their save data following connecting to Pokemon GO have been affected right after connecting to the service, or a while after, after sending postcards.
With Ash Ketchum having finally managed to become a Pokémon champion, the Pokémon anime’s gearing up to introduce a new generation of young trainers whose adventures will take them to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea region and beyond. When Nintendo announced the upcoming expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it confirmed that some familiar Poke friends return – 230 in fact.
These Pokemon will appear in Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk, none of which have appeared in either game. Nintendo has decided not to provide a list of the returning Pokemon, as it wants you to find out for yourself by playing the game.
That figure also includes the Pokemon you can bring to your game via Pokemon Home or receive through trades.
The endless march of the Pokemon Trading Card game continues on – and we’ve got an exclusive look at one of the newest additions to the trading acrd game, coming as part of the new Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet expansion.
Themed off the most recent generational shift in the series, the big news here is an update to the Pokemon EX mechanic that was introduced in the card game several years ago. It used to be that only ‘basic’ Pokemon – that is, the first form in an evolutionary line – could be EX cards – but in the Scarlet & Violet expansion, that’s expanded to Basic, Stage 1, or Stage 2 Pokemon.
Despite that being the headline, the card we’re revealing here today is a new basic EX card, Iron Treads EX – which of course is based on the new Paradox Pokemon introduced in Scarlet & Violet on Switch. Take a look:
Nintendo has announced a patch for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is coming, and it will arrive later this month.
The patch aims to fix various bugs that have plagued the game since its release.
Alongside the fixes will be feature adjustments like additional functionality for Pokemon Boxes. With this added feature, you will be able to change a Pokemon’s nickname, markings, held items, and mark – or Ribbon-related titles – as well as being able to reorder moves. Pokemon can also remember moves, forget moves, and use TMs.
