Homeworld 3 delayed till May to incorporate player feedback to War Games demo
Homeworld 3‘s release date has been pushed back from March 8th to May 13th 2024, in order to build on player feedback to this week’s Steam Next Fest War Games demo, which will be available till February 12th, 10am PT or 6pm GMT. The associated joint statement from developers Blackbird Interactive and publishers Gearbox arrived within hours of me posting about said Homeworld 3 demo and saying that while I am fully onboard with many aspects of the new space strategy game, I do have reservations about its controls.
Naturally, and self-flatteringly, I’m now petrified that I’m single-handedly responsible for the delay. Please come back, Homeworld 3! I didn’t mean it! I’m pretty sure I’ll acclimatise to the control scheme with practice! True-3D starfleet management is always a bit fiddly! Besides which, I might not get to review it now!! I’m moving flat in May!!!

At a midnight launch for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one player expected to just find the game, but wound up with a possible missed connection instead.
Do you remember the one that got away? The one that keeps you up at night thinking, “dang, I should have gone for it!” Well, one Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player certainly does, as she’s currently searching for someone she met at a midnight launch of the game. In a post titled “Missed connection at Gamestop midnight release in southwestern Illinois,” Reddit user ThatTOTK girl shared her meet-cute story involving another prospective player at said midnight launch.
“I was the blonde girl who did her hair like Zelda,” the post opens. “You were the guy who showed me his Zelda-themed tattoo on your leg and we chatted about Nintendogs, among other things. I had fun talking to you and would like to be able to talk to you some more! If this was you, please message me and tell me the name of your childhood Nintendog lol.”

Amazon In Talks To Buy Indian Video Giant MX Player
MX Player has gained wide adoption in markets such as India in part by offering its wide video catalog that includes access to live cable TV channels at no charge to consumers. Instead the service makes most of its revenue through ads. MX Player was one of the earliest video apps to expand into short-video format, cashing in on an opportunity created in the aftermath of New Delhi banning TikTok in the country in mid-2020. MX Player eventually merged that business with ShareChat’s short-video offering Moj in a deal worth $900 million. […] MX Player, which offers its premium offerings in many international markets, claims it has over 150 million active users in India. The firm last raised a venture round in 2019, when it received an investment of $110.8 million in a funding round led by Tencent. That round valued MX Player at $500 million.
