Ketanji Brown Jackson Becomes the FIRST Black Female US Supreme Court Justice
Keeping his promise to nominate a Black woman for U.S. Supreme Court, President Joe Biden made headlines at the top of the year when he announced Ketanji Brown Jackson would be his pick.
After a heavily scrutinized Senate approval process, Jackson confirmed 53 votes to 47 on April 7 - making her the first Black woman to serve as a justice in the highest court in the land.
