Pixaera is a gaming company that empowers people through play, by building immersive technology that transforms world-wide access to learning.
Built to bring the power, fun and emotion of online games like Roblox and Minecraft to the professional world, we are helping some of the world’s largest businesses upskill their workforce more effectively and efficiently.
How did you come up with the idea for the company?
I was a big gamer as a teen, and then spent many years of my professional life working in heavy industrial businesses where professional training was crucial.
Through gaming, I learnt about collaboration, negotiation, teamwork; in comparison to the games I grew up with, the necessary professional training I received as an adult really lacked engagement needed to make a significant impact. I realised that gaming technology, though currently so far removed from the professional world, has incredible potential to completely transform the way professionals work, learn and collaborate.
How has the company evolved over the last couple of years?
We’ve always stayed true to our mission to build the highest quality learning games for the professional world, but as we’ve grown, so has our product suite- we started with one course on IOGP’s Life-Saving rules, and we’re now in the process of branching out beyond safety into to the world of leadership and mental health. Our platform will be industry-agnostic; whatever you need for your team’s professional development, you should be able to find it on Pixaera.
What can we hope to see from Pixaera in the future?
Our ultimate aim is to build an ecosystem of high-quality learning games created by the best global experts. Eventually, companies and experts will be able to use Pixaera’s platform to develop their own, highly unique experiences.
In the same way Roblox and Minecraft empower users to generate and share their own games, which in turn enhances the experiences of all users on these platforms, we’re building a collaborative platform for professionals.
