Harry Styles’ ‘Harry House’ hit ‘As It Was’ has found a home at #1 on the Hot 100 for a 13th week.
In doing so, it not only extends the tune’s reign as the longest-running chart-topper of the decade so far but it also puts him in some pretty exclusive company in the hit list’s history books.
See who and how inside.
Despite a few rests on the bench thanks to reign interruptions by hits from the likes of Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce, ‘Was’ quickly returned right back where it was – on the perch of the Hot 100.
Here are the numbers that fueled its rule this week.
- Streaming: 15.8 million streams (up 3%)
- Digital Downloads: 3,000 downloads sold (down 13%)
- Radio Airplay: 68.4 million audience impressions (down 2%)
The figures above helped Harry pencil yet another historic week on Billboard.
As it relates to the Hot 100, the Kid Harpoon-curated cut becomes only the 13th song in history to have logged at least 13 weeks at #1.
List of Songs To Be #1 on the Hot 100 for 13+ Weeks

More impressively, the 13th run at #1 sees him zoom past Eminem and Ed Sheeran as the solo male to have enjoyed the longest run in the chart position this century. While Em reigned for 12 weeks with his now-classic ‘Lose Yourself’ across 2002-2003, Sheeran stayed in the #1 spot for the same amount of time with his 2017 hit ‘Shape of You.’
Among all solo male #1 hits over the chart’s 64-year history, only John’s ‘Candle’ has burned at the top longer (14 weeks).
That’s not all.
In addition to now holding the record for the most weeks in the Hot 100’s top 2 (22 weeks), Billboard reports ‘As It Was’ has been #1 for 13 weeks over a span of 23 weeks – “the longest span of a title topping the tally in a single release cycle.”
