OUTRAGED Hulu users have flooded the internet with reports that the popular streaming service is down.
DownDetector shows a major spike in reported incidents at around 8pm EST.
Over 5,000 users have reported issues, according to DownDetector.
Around 84 percent of the problems had to do with streaming.
Another 10 percent involved issues with the app while six percent of reports were about the website.
“Can someone unplug @hulu and plug it back in please?” one annoyed Twitter user said.
Another frustrated TV watcher said that he hasn’t been able to watch anything for the past half hour.
“What am I paying for,” he tweeted.
“Down at the most prime time hours.”
Others have reported the live stream is stuck on a single commercial and won’t return to their program.
“I’ve been trying to watch a show, then it pauses, when I try to change the channel to watch something else and switch back, it just starts back in the same spot and then stops again,” a different user said.
Hulu addressed the issue in a tweet to another upset user and apologized for the trouble.
“We’ve got all hands on deck working to get this evening’s Live TV issues cleared up, and we hope to get things back to normal soon,” the company wrote.
“For now, you can use your Hulu login to watch via our network partners’ apps/sites.”
Hulu’s support account also responded to some angry tweets and told users to reboot their devices or exit the stream and return to see if the issue was fixed.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Hulu for more information on the incident.
