Jada Pinkett Smith is already renowned for keeping it candid. But looks like the media maven is ready to peel back even more layers. Because it’s been announced that she will be releasing a memoir.
And it promises to be “no holds barred.”
Full story below…
Smith, 51, has inked a deal with Dey Street Books (whose parent company is HarperCollins) for what is being billed as an “honest and gripping memoir” that sees the actress, singer, and host of ‘Red Table Talk’ reflect on “lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.”
Leaving no stone unturned, the book will chronicle the star’s “unconventional upbringing in Baltimore,” her much-discussed friendship with Tupac Shakur, her love story with husband Will Smith, motherhood, and more.
Major personal moments and milestones will be explored too, with the publisher adding:
“In crisis at age 40, Jada recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way.”
Jada’s memoir is set to arrive in the Fall of 2023.

Interesting.
Given how open book Jada has been (especially in more recent times), writing an actual book is somewhat of a surprising move.
At the same time, her story (and that of her family) is super compelling as it is. So, we’re actually intrigued to see what she’ll be sharing.
