This time last year Diddy was telling Jermaine Dupri he didn’t have “enough hits” to battle him in a VERZUZ competition.
What turned into a war of words between the label execs/Rap icons eventually saw them not only make a truce, but promise to bring a hit-for-hit duel between their respective labels – Bad Boy and So So Def – to fruition outside of the VERZUZ brand due to the legal combat its creators, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, were having with Triller (the social media platform where the show is aired).
With that drama behind Tim and Swizz (as we reported here), it appears Dupri and co. are back on board and ready to bring their decades worth of jams to a stage and soon.

As seen in the video above, Dupri took to the ONE Musicfest in Atlanta on Saturday (October 8) to share the big news about the forthcoming battle.
“The So So Def-Bad Boy Verzuz is happening,” JD said.
At writing, no additional details about the matchup (i.e. date, venue, etc.) have been announced nor have Diddy or VERZUZ confirmed their participation.
Regardless, as evidenced by the crowd response in the video, music lovers are ready for this long-teased showdown!
