Goodlife Management is a music artist management company based in Central London, representing: Annie Macmanus, The Blessed Madonna, Daniel Avery, Denis Sulta Fred again.., HAAi, Mella Dee, Rain Radio, Saoirse, Sarah Story and Tiga.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the music industry and our roster, who has outstanding organisational skills and a can-do attitude. The job on offer is incredibly busy and varied and so it is essential that you are dedicated, able to multitask, prioritise and think on your feet. It is an excellent position for someone wanting to further their career in artist management within a dynamic and experienced team.
ROLE:
Artist management assistant – to assist in the day to day management of Denis Sulta, Mella Dee, Sarah Story and Saoirse and to assist in all company admin relating to these artists and their management team. Please only apply if you are looking for a permanent and long-term role. The role is full time, so is only suited to someone without any other existing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES – but not limited to:
• Assistance across all recording projects including music delivery, label copy/metadata, sample clearances, release timelines, press asset management and distribution, producer deals, mixer agreements
• Social network support for each artist. Suggesting posts, helping to make content where possible, instructing digital agencies/creative directors to make assets and create posting plans, liaising between artist and labels, chasing artists for content / copy. Posting on behalf of artists and maintaining all social media pages and music platforms for artists.
• Assistance with press requests scheduling, reminders and itineraries, plus coordinating styling / hair & make up when required
• Assistance with licensing / sync requests
• Recording sessions scheduling – studio bookings, finding musicians, sourcing gear
• A&R research, remix ideas across all artists
• Arranging photography and filming at live shows, approval and distribution after the shows
• Assistance with logging royalty statements, remix contracts and recording contracts and instructing accountants for invoicing
• Attending artists shows as required, attending meetings and promo with artist management or artists in UK and occasionally internationally
• Assistance across all touring duties; including but not limited to production, promotional live sessions, visas, guest-lists, budgeting, rehearsals, crew & tax reduction applications
• Advancing visuals for DJ performances, updating visuals when necessary
• Assisting in marketing asset creation to promote tours and shows
• Assistance with show artwork approval, promotion, set times, billing and programming
• Assistance with artist live streams
• Assisting in all aspects of artists merchandise from working with designers to manufacturers and distributing merch and ensuring that all online shops are fully stocked.
• Assisting with brand partnerships and relations.
• Checking tour manager itineraries for missing info/errors and ensuring that artists have everything they need for upcoming shows.
• Set list submission to collecting societies
• Arranging photography and filming at shows, approval and distribution after the shows
• Logging all activity in the internal income tracker
• Ensuring all management and artist diaries are updated
• Tracking ticket sales across all artist shows
• Logging artists feedback on all live shows
• Occasionally booking couriers and taxis for artists
• Organising music and demos, distributing listening links to team members.
• Assisting in the curating and booking of line-ups for artist events
• Responding to artists’ reasonable personal requests and assisting them in obtaining information and answering queries.
• Liaising with agents, promoters and marketing teams to plan show announcements and on-sale dates.
• Register artists’ works for PPL and PRS
• Liaison with artists’ accountants and assisting in providing information and documentation required.
• Booking and managing correspondence with tour managers and any touring crew.
• Organising and updating Google Drive folders for all artists and Goodlife Management.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
• Must have 3 years experience within artist management or within a complimentary role in the music industry.
• Highly organised and able to work within a fast-moving environment
• Able to work to and maintain deadlines
• A passion for a wide range of musical genres but a love of electronic music.
• A can-do, positive attitude and an ability to independently find solutions to challenges
• Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail
• Able to communicate professionally with high profile clients and contacts.
• Impeccable writing and grammar skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, committing to attending shows and working at events outside of hours, when needed.
• Must be familiar with Mac computers, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, all social network back ends, Dropbox, Google Drive, Soundcloud, Wetransfer, Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, and all other major DSP’s.
