Kim Kardashian continues to bask in her status as one of Pop culture’s most polarizing figures.
And she does so with an oh-so-racy cover shoot for Interview Magazine’s September issue.
The all-American-themed spread (which was lensed by Nadia Lee Cohen) sees the 41-year-old arguably embrace her spot as a contemporary take on the American Dream (for some) as well as a controversial revising of it (by others).
True to the publication’s name, Kardashian was also interviewed by Mel Ottenberg.
Within the feature, the mogul and mom of four waxes candid about ex-husband Kanye West upgrading her stardom and more.
Head below for pics and quotes…
On Realizing She Had Ascended to a New Level of Fame:
“I mean, when I was with Kanye, and he was introducing me to a lot of people, I think that definitely got a lot of people to have a different level of respect. I’ve also seen a sh*t more recently—going to law school, just doing what I want and becoming my own person and people seeing that and respecting that. There’s levels to it.”
On Whether She Gets Starstruck:
“Oh my god. You know what’s so crazy? I used to, and I’m really good at hiding it, but I don’t anymore. Is that sad?”
On Her Foray Into Law:
“I just saw something on social media that I didn’t feel like was fair, and I didn’t understand it. A woman that didn’t do anything violent, never had a ticket in her life, she answered the phone as a mule for a drug case and got the same sentence as Charles Manson. When I saw that, I was like, “I don’t get it. How did this happen? Did she need a better attorney?” I really didn’t know, so I educated myself about it. “
