One of the arguments for ‘Oumuamua being a Rama-esque spacecraft was how the object ‘sped up’as it began to leave our neighborhood. But it’s only a theory, notes Dennis Overbye, since there aren’t observations to back this up. Unfortunately it emboldens overenthusiastic ET proponents like Avi Loeb to defend himself with, “I’m just asking questions!” Questions like “Is ‘Oumuamua A Hydrogen-Water Iceberg?” He does make a few good points so at least pretend to be “fair and balanced”. If you’re inclined, check out Jenifer Bergner and Darryl Seligman’s paper Acceleration of ‘Oumuamua from radiolytically produced H2 in H2O ice. If you’re like us, gank it with SciHub, Z-Library, or Library Genesis using the DOI. Or better yet, since Bergner and Seligman aren’t making a dime off Nature publishing the paper, email them and ask for a copy. Nine times out of ten authors will oblige! Short of those options, we recommend The Black Vault and John Greenwald is your one-stop source for “Confirmation Of Interstellar Object” Memorandum And Related Documents and enjoy the treasure-trove, regadless of redactions!
