David Clarke has discovered a most amazing “lost” photograph of an unidentified flying object—but that aerial conundrum probably has mundane origins. For background see Clarke’s Summer 2021 Case Files: Calvine UFO Photographs. There Clarke noted that the object was described as “ascending vertically upwards at high speed,” which would seem quite “unearthly,” but Clarke inclined towards the “developmental aircraft” identification. He followed that lengthy article with a July 31, 2021 piece titled The UFO that Never Was?: the Calvine Photographs. Here he leaned towards a “hoax” hypothesis, while noting “Only pressure from politicians and the media will resolve this mystery once and for all.” Clarke’s most recent take, The Calvine UFO Photograph — Revealed, dated August 12, 2022, chronicles his search for the truth while affirming the his current inclination towards the secret US or UK project explanation. He again tasks both American and British Defense agencies for not setting matters straight. Ross Coulthart Talks Calvine Photo and highlights major issues, especially whether Congress was misled on a “black project.” And The Calvine Photo: Revealed! (Updated) includes a podcast with four current researchers, a link to the recent photo analysis by a Clarke colleague, and additional documentary information. The Metabunkers attack the picture at Claim: Original Calvine UFO Photo and Calvine UFO Photo – Reflection In Water Hypothesis. The “photo sleuths” are hampered by imperfect knowledge of Clarke’s articles’ changing conclusions as well as their own discussion thread history. (WM)
