Christopher Mellon comments on his role in the December 2017 revelations of a former U.S. UFO program and sketches what’s transpired thereafter. Mellon is uniquely qualified to assess the Congressional response, and his “This is arguably the biggest story mainstream news organizations have ever failed to cover” seems accurate and authoritative. While Mellon seriously doubts the recent “downed objects” have ET license plates, he might be right in saying “This may prove to be a Sputnik moment for America.” Mick West thinks “This Is Probably Going to Be a Good Clarifying Moment in UFO History”. UFO video analyst/debunker West offers his contrarian viewpoint, while agreeing with Mellon on the “shoot-downs” and also opines “I think UFOs need to be taken very seriously.” A Boston Expert Says Recent Flying Objects Shot Down by US Could be “Adversarial”. Joshua Semeter is part of the NASA panel currently investigating available UFO/UAP-related data to see whether it’s sound enough or whether data-collection must be improved before a “real” UAP study later on. Semeter’s points are useful. University of Hartford professor emeritus Dom Armentano agrees that UFOs and National Security go together, but his historical and worldwide review of some UFO origins inclines rather more towards Mellon’s than West’s. Armentano derides the recent “2022 Annual Report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.” And Vox politics reporter Li Zhou, rather echoing Chris Mellon’s thoughts, writes that Everything We Know about UFOs We Learned from Congress. Well, not Everything! (WM)
