Bungie Disables Another Exotic Gun For Destiny 2 King’s Fall Raid Race
Bungie has disabled the new Destiny 2 Exotic weapon, Quicksilver Storm, in high-level content ahead of Friday’s race to complete the game’s newest raid, the revamped King’s Fall from Destiny 1. Quicksilver Storm is the latest casualty on the list of weapons and Exotic armor pieces that Bungie has disabled thanks to bug and glitches that came with the release of its latest content release, Season of Plunder.
Quicksilver Storm is an Exotic auto rifle that has some special properties–under the right circumstances, it can fire missiles like a rocket launcher and grenades like a grenade launcher. That latter capability is the source of the problem. Bungie rebalanced Heavy ammo-firing grenade launchers with its Season of Plunder patch, intending to make them do more damage and thus be more viable in high-level content. However, grenade launchers have been doing tremendous amounts of damage since the patch on Tuesday, August 23, dishing out something like 150% more damage than before the patch. That has made high-level content, like the recently released Duality dungeon, pretty easy for players to complete.
Where Is Xur Today? (August 26-30) Destiny 2 Xur Location And Exotic Items Guide
With Season of Plunder having kicked off a new swashbuckling adventure in Destiny 2, now is a great time to grab some loot from Xur when he enters the Solar System. As usual, the Agent of the Nine will have a selection of Exotic weapons and armor, Legendary gear that you might have missed out on, and a few legacy items to add to your collection.
We don’t quite know where Xur is just yet, but we’ll update this post as soon as he arrives. Last week’s Xur inventory had some excellent items for Guardians looking to put together Arc 3.0 builds, so it’ll be interesting to see if Xur brings items that cater to those builds once again as players begin experimenting with the overhauled subclass. Just don’t expect any heavy grenade launchers before the King’s Fall raid starts.
Until then, you can check out the first trailer for next year’s Lightfall expansion, all the new gear in Season of Plunder, and a look at some of the new Exotics such as Quicksilver Storm and Delicate Tomb.

Destiny 2 Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Guide: How To Get The Season Of Plunder Hunter Exotic Armor
Ever since the release of Void 3.0 in Destiny 2, invisibility has become a major part of any Hunter’s capabilities. Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk, the new Hunter Exotic chest armor released with Season of Plunder, takes advantage of the nearly endless invisibility possible with Void 3.0 to provide a number of extra advantages to both you and your teammates. Here’s how you can earn Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk and how best to make use of it with your invisibility builds.
Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk perks
There’s a lot to parse through for Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk, but it has everything to do with what you do while invisible, and when you come out of being invisible. The See Me, Feel Me perk conveys a bunch of benefits based on your actions while invisible. Most of the time, you’re going to be activating bonus damage for weapons by using them after you “emerge from being invisible”–which means when the invisibility effect wears off, you get a momentary boost for your guns. Firing weapons cancels invisibility, which means that you can gain this boost anytime you start firing while you’re invisible.
Weapon boosts are nice, but you’re going to want to pay more attention to the perk’s second buff, which is activated by killing enemies with finishers while invisible. Finish an enemy while they can’t see you, and you’ll get a boost to your class ability regeneration, as will any nearby allies. You and your nearby allies also gain a “reserve overshield,” which is a new concept. Usually, when an ability or Exotic activates an overshield, it’s just an additional shield over your usual one, effectively giving you a small amount of additional hit points. Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk gives you a reserve overshield which does not automatically get added to your existing shield. Instead, you activate it with your class ability, meaning you can wait and deploy that shield whenever you want, and the same is true of your teammates.

New On HBO Max In September 2022: House of the Dragon Season 1, Los Espookys Season 2
Summer is almost behind us, fall temps are in the air, and we’re about to flip the calendar over to September. That means there are many more reasons to stay inside and catch up with new content hitting HBO Max. Some of the content is available starting on September 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
Next month on HBO Max is encouragingly packed, helped along right out of the gate by the final four episodes of Season 1 of House of the Dragon. Though audiences and critics have been split on the show, if you’ve been watching this far you will likely want to see it through.
Equally deserving of your seeing-through is Los Espookys, a sleeper comedy hit that is coming back for Season 2 after a three-year hiatus on September 16. The show’s core concept is both incredibly simple and incredibly out-there–it’s about a group of four Latinx friends and struggling professionals whose biggest passion in life is horror. In Season 1, the friends all join forces to form a peculiar business, providing horror to clients who need it. It’s a very particular and weird sort of humor on display in this show, equal parts courtesy of co-creators Fred Armisen and Julio Torres–both from Saturday Night Live–and surreal sketch writer Ana Fabrega (The Chris Gethard Show).

Destiny 2 Servers Going Down For Maintenance Ahead Of New Hotfix Update
It’s been an exciting week for Destiny 2 fans, with Bungie outlining the Lightfall expansion and rolling out the Season of Plunder update. But the latter has coincided with a number of issues, and seemingly in response, Bungie will be taking Destiny 2 servers down for maintenance today, August 25, in order to roll out hotfix update 6.2.0.1.
Maintenance is now underway, although players can continue playing for the time being. At 3:45 PM PT / 6:45 PM ET, players will be booted offline, so be sure you wrap up anything you’re doing by then. You should then be able to log in again starting at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET, which is when the new update will be made available. Server queues are possible, so between that and the download itself (which should be relatively small), it may take some time to jump back online. Maintenance should formally conclude at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET.
Bungie has not said what’s included in the hotfix, but there are a wide variety of problems that players have reported and the developer has acknowledged. Notably, almost all heavy grenade launchers were disabled yesterday due to an intended buff being more much powerful than intended. Resilience for Arc-subclass Titans and Warlocks is not providing as much damage resistance as it should. The catalyst quest for the seasonal Exotic fusion rifle, Delicate Tomb, is bugged and not always recording progress as it should. And a number of Exotic items, including Titans’ Icefall Mantle and the new Point-Contact Cannon Brace, have been disabled.
