Harry Potter Actor Tom Felton Says Rowling Was On Set ‘Once Or Twice’
For as much as we discuss Harry Potter creator and author J.K. Rowling, you might think that she not only read the books, designed the toys, and directed all of the movies. But her involvement in the movies was much less than people might think, according to Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton, in a new interview with The Independent about his book, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.
The wide-ranging interview covers a bunch of topics, but eventually, Rowling’s controversial views regarding trans people come up when it’s mentioned that her name is missing from the acknowledgments. Felton says first that he doesn’t have time for anything that isn’t pro-human rights, but adds that “It is also a reminder that as much as Jo is the founder of [these] stories, she wasn’t part of the filmmaking process as much as some people might think. I think I only recall seeing her once or twice on set.”
Felton avoids speaking directly about his personal feelings on Rowling’s views or about speaking about his own views, noting that Rowling is still responsible for creating the stories which he says are beloved by people “of all ages, of all backgrounds.” He adds that his friends “all have differing opinions on various matters, and we celebrate our own choices, and that “we certainly don’t take any pleasure in putting crosshairs on people that may have said things that we disagree with.”

Scarlett Johansson Feared Being “Hypersexualized” And “Pigeonholed” As An Actor Earlier In Her Career
Scarlett Johansson, 37, said in a recent interview that despite having an acting career that started at age seven and has earned her two Oscar nominations, she was “pigeonholed” as a young actor and once felt it’d be impossible to diversify her onscreen roles. Johansson opened up about her career on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.
“I kind of became objectified and pigeonholed in this way where I felt like I wasn’t getting offers for work for things that I wanted to do,” Johansson said (via Yahoo). “I remember thinking to myself, ‘I think people think I’m 40 years old.’ It somehow stopped being something that was desirable and something that I was fighting against.”

Kojima Productions tease their next game, and actor Elle Fanning’s in it
A cryptic standee on display at PAX Australia has revealed that Elle Fanning is involved in a new game coming from Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions. An image showing a shadowy face with the words “Where am I?” features on the standee, also tweeted by Kojima with the questions “Who is “WHERE”?”. People who scanned a QR code on the standee image were directed to another picture on the Kojima Productions site, which shows Fanning’s face in red light and the message “Who am I?”.
Judgment mod adds cut actor Pierre Taki back into the game
Fans of Yakuza spin-off Judgment and of Japanese actors who’ve been naughty will be pleased to hear that there’s a mod to restore the voice and likeness of Pierre Taki to the game. Taki-san’s performance as character Kyohei Hamura was removed from the Japanese version of Judgment after he was arrested for possession and use of cocaine in 2019, never making it to the West. Now, the Judgment Pierre Taki Restoration Patch finally brings the scrubbed actor back for the very first time, over here at least.

Judgment PC mod restores ‘disgraced’ original Hamura actor
A Judgment PC mod restores the original actor for Captain Hamura in the Yakuza spin-off game after he was removed following drug charges in Japan. The surprise arrival of Judgment on PC along with its sequel, Lost Judgment, has opened the door to a variety of user-made tweaks, and this one was always likely to be on the cards. The news of a Judgment actor change at the time of the game’s release was rather dramatic. Pierre Taki, the original Japanese voice actor and likeness for Kyohei Hamura – one of the action game’s most prominent characters – was pulled entirely from the game in dramatic fashion after admitting to cocaine use.
