Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s director is already thinking about the next game
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom literally just came out, but its director is apparently already thinking about the next game.
If you’ve spent any time with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom over the past day, you’ll probably be aware that this thing is massive. There’s easily 100 hours worth of stuff to do there, and likely more, so it’s probably something that will keep us busy for years to come. That’s a good thing too, because apparently director Hidemaro Fujibayashi is already thinking about the next game.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Fujibayashi alongside Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma spoke about the game, including what some of their favourite side quests are in Tears of the Kingdom, and other topics (thanks, GamesRadar). What’s most interesting though actually came from a tweet from the writer behind the interview, Zachary Small, who wrote, “… it seems likely that Fujibayashi already has plans for the next Zelda game – though he hasn’t even told Aonuma about it yet.”
Mauricio Pochettino told he already has “fantastic” solution to Thiago Silva headache
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom mods have already unlocked the framerate to 60 fps—but you shouldn’t use them just yet
The race to perfectly emulate Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is on, and already extremely promising
Surprise, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom speedrunners are already setting records
It’s not even been an entire day for most of us playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom yet, and even still someone has already managed to pull off a speedrun.
You might not be very familiar with Breath of the Wild speedruns, and if you aren’t, you should be, because they’re a work of art. The current world record for the first game currently clocks in at just under 24 minutes, a ridiculous figure when you consider how big that game is. But you know what’s even more ridiculous? The fact that someone has managed to not only beat the game on launch day, but do so as a speedrun, and that speedrun coming in at just over an hour and a half.
You are reading that right, someone has already managed to speed through the game in a breeze, achieving the specific time of 1:34:33, an incredibly impressive achievement for a day one speedrun. As spotted by VGC, this particular run comes from speedrunner gymnast86, who shared their speedrun earlier today – obviously the run will be absolutely full of end game spoilers, so don’t watch it if you don’t want to ruin the ending for yourself. Gymnast86 was even kind enough to put out a short video showing off some of the tricks they used to pull off the feat, but again, spoilers, so maybe stay clear until you’re done with the game.

Apple’s Recent Beats Firmware Update Addressed Bluetooth Security Issue, AirPods Already Patched
Available for: Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro
Impact: When your headphones are seeking a connection request to one of your previously paired devices, an attacker in Bluetooth range might be able to spoof the intended source device and gain access to your headphones.
Description: An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management.
CVE-2023-27964: Yun-hao Chung and Archie Pusaka of Google ChromeOS
The issue also affected all AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max models with the exception of the first-generation AirPods, but Apple fixed the issue for those products with the 5E133 firmware update released last month.
Apple subsequently released another firmware update (5E135) for these models yesterday, but it’s unclear what changes were included beyond unspecified bug fixes and other improvements.
AirPods and Beats models will automatically update their firmware if they are paired with an iOS device or Mac and are charging while within Bluetooth range of your device. Android users can update their Beats firmware using the Beats app for that platform.
