Resident Evil 4 Remake bug affecting progress in Chapter 12 will be patched by Capcom
Capcom has warned Resident Evil 4 Remake players of a rather serious but rare bug in Chapter 12 that could stop your game from progressing.
You can keep the bug from triggering, and be sure to have a save handy before starting Chapter 12. The workaround is posted below the video and is as non-spoilery as possible.
According to Capcom, there is a cutscene that will play at the beginning of Chapter 12, after which you will receive a key item. This item is needed to progress, and the bug is activated when you start attacking with your knife. Doing so could keep you from obtaining the needed item.

Here’s what you can do about Resident Evil 4’s flickering on PS5 while Capcom works on a fix
Capcom has acknowledged reports of a visual problem in the PS5 version of Resident Evil 4 Remake earlier, after players reported it shortly after the game went live. The issue simply causes flickering lights at the bottom of the screen, and seems to only be limited to PS5.
Capcom said that it’s aware of the issue, and had intended to fully fix it in a future patch. But the good news for players eager to jump in now is that there’s a temporary fix.
The first fix is a simple turning the game off and on again. Capcom recommended saving, shutting down the game, and relaunching it. Given that the flickering issue doesn’t always happen, doing this restart may eliminate it – at least for a while.
Capcom are remaking Resident Evil 4 in the form of hilarious anime shorts
Resident Evil 4 Remake is just over the horizon – coming March 24th – but Capcom are remaking the action-horror classic in a cheerier form, too. Over the past few days, Capcom have released two 1-minute episodes of the Resident Evil 4 anime Masterpiece Theatre called Leon And The Mysterious Village, a childlike take on the classic gothic journey. It’s beautifully animated and hilarious, even without context for Resi4. The only problem? These shorts are too damn short!
