Like A Dragon: Ishin lets you kick back and carefully chop spring onions on a farm
I thought my love affair with Like A Dragon: Ishin‘s teasers had peaked, but no, my heart still swells at an alarming rate. And that’s thanks to a new trailer where Kiryu/Ryoma drop (kicks) his bruising samurai lifestyle to the side for a simpler, purer existence: chopping spring onions to a rhythm in what looks to be an in-depth farming side activity. Game Of The Year.
Dusk developer blames his cat for releasing Chop Goblins three weeks early
David Szymanski, the developer behind 2018 retro-styled shooter, Dusk, has just released his new game… three weeks ahead of schedule. Chop Goblins was anticipated to launch on 2 January 2023, but it appears David Szymanski and his cat had other ideas.
On 12 December, Chop Goblins hit Steam. Who did David Szymanski first blame for it? His cat, Zamboni. “WTF, I just came upstairs to my office and discovered the Zamboni released Chop Goblins early! They must remind him of himself,” the tweet reads.
Zamboni is pictured, sat on what we can assume to be David’s chair, looking innocent and adorable as ever. The Dusk creator later followed up with a new tweet, linking Chop Goblin’s Steam page, saying, “I was bored, so Chop Goblins is out now.” So, Zamboni isn’t an evil mastermind after all, but any excuse to share a cute cat picture (even if it means releasing a game early) is a good one if you ask me.
Chop Goblins releases retro FPS three weeks early, blames it on cat
Games get delayed so often that it’s always a pleasure when a release date is instead moved earlier. Chop Goblins maybe takes it to an extra extreme. The 30-minute retro shooter from the developer of Dusk was due for release on January 2nd, but it’s out now after being released several weeks earlier. “I was bored,” explained the developer on Twitter.
Time-travelling “bite-sized” FPS Chop Goblins is the next game from Dusk’s dev
I don’t know about you, but a hectic working and family schedule means my time for games is way more limited than it used to be. That’s why I’m intrigued by Chop Goblins, a “microshooter” from Dusk and Gloomwood developer David Szymanski that’s coming to Steam on January 2nd, 2023. Szymanski says Chop Goblins’ campaign can be finished within a single sitting of around 30 minutes. Appropriately enough, it’s all about time travel.
Dusk dev unveils Gremlins inspired retro FPS game Chop Goblins
Dusk developer David Szymanski has unveiled his latest project – a one-sitting retro FPS game inspired by Gremlins called Chop Goblins, which sees you travelling across time after the eponymous antagonists and is positioned as an “all killer and no filler” experience. Following in the vein of classic games in the first-person shooter genre such as Doom, Quake, Half-Life, and Daikatana, Chop Goblins features a handful of unique weapons to wield across a number of globe-trotting locations, and it’ll be arriving on Steam at the start of January 2023 to bring in the New Year in style.
