Where the S Club Juniors are now – from Frankie Bridge and Rochelle Humes to royal impersonator and X Factor flops
WHEN the S Club Juniors were assembled on reality TV two decades ago, they were all in their early teens.
But now the group, the miniature version of S Club 7 who found a huge fanbase all of their own, are in their 30s.

So what happened to the group’s many stars – and what are they doing now?
While some found their way into yet more pop stardom and TV careers – hello, Rochelle Humes and Frankie Bridge – others aren’t quite so famous.
Here we take a look at the group and reveal where they ended up and which of the eight, to borrow one of their singles, found a New Direction…
Rochelle Humes

Most people will know what became of the singer then known as Rochelle Wiseman.
The 33-year-old star went on to more chart-topping success with The Saturdays once the S Club Juniors were starting to look a bit, well, senior.
She started dating future-husband Marvin Humes, then a mainstay of JLS, in 2010 and got married two years later.
Rochelle broke into TV via kids’ show Smile in 2004, going on to bag presenting stints on This Morning, The Xtra Factor and Ninja Warrior UK.
Aaron Renfree

Smouldering Aaron managed to turn all those intricate dance routines into a career – becoming a dancer and in-demand choreographer.
The 34-year-old has worked with the likes of Taylor Swift, Little Mix and Kylie Minogue as well as his old pals in The Saturdays (see Rochelle and Frankie).
He also had an impressive West End career, appearing in the likes of Flashdance: The Musical and We Will Rock You.
Jay Asforis
Jay changed his surname to Perry – but hasn’t forgotten his S Club past[/caption]
We knew the star as Jay Asforis during his time on the Juniors but now he’s known as Jay Perry.
The 32-year-old starred in Hamilton – the West End’s hottest ticket – as Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.
He also fronted a series dedicated to the S Club Juniors where he hosts Instagram Live interviews with his former bandmates.
Frankie Bridge

Frankie Sandford, as she was then known, has barely left the world of showbiz since she left S Club Juniors.
The 33-year-old singer found huge success in The Saturdays before marrying footballer Wayne Bridge and earning the not-entirely-wanted ‘Wag’ tag.
The mum-of-two appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012 and is now thought to be worth more than £10million.
She’s also just headed into the I’m A Celebrity castle – following in Wayne’s footsteps after he appeared on the show in 2016.
The star is also now one of the regular panellists on Loose Women, telling a very rude story earlier this year.
Stacey Franks
The star performing for Simon Cowell and co on The X Factor in 2009[/caption]
The 33-year-old – who was known as Stacey McClean in S Club Juniors – is now a mum-of-one and a former X Factor star.
She powered through the live shows in 2009 but unfortunately got knocked out before the live shows.
Stacey later starred in G*Mania, a collection of former X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and Last Choir Standing favourites, who toured the UK.
She’s married to ex-professional footballer Fraser Franks, 31, and they share three-year-old daughter Nellie.
Calvin Goldspink
Calvin stuck with music, becoming a singer-songwriter and even actor, hopping over to the US to star in a remake of British drama Wild At Heart.
He also popped up in 2011 royal cheese-fest William and Kate: Let Love Rule, a TV movie that aired in the US, playing Kate Middleton’s brother James
The star married designer Melissa Callabero in 2015 and they became parents for the first time to baby Aya in 2020.

Daisy Shelvey
Daisy is now a top make-up artist working in Essex and Newcastle[/caption]
Frankie wasn’t the only S Clubber to bag themselves a top-level footballer – Daisy is now married to Jonjo Shelvey.
Formerly known as Daisy Evans, she and the Newcastle United (and occasionally England) midfielder married in 2015, with Jimmy Carr performing at the wedding.
They welcomed a daughter called Lola the previous year.
Daisy had a music career after S Club with From Above, who reached the Boot Camp stage on X Factor, before becoming a sought-after make-up artist.
Hannah Richings
Hannah didn’t stick around in the world of showbiz and had a baby last year[/caption]
The youngest member of the S Club team at just 11 when she joined, Hannah didn’t stick around in Celebland.
She is now married and a mum to four children, most recently giving birth to a baby girl called Pippa.
Harry Potter Club Members Will Receive Exclusive Rewards In Hogwarts Legacy
In a new featurette, Warner Bros. and Avalanche revealed new features on the houses available in Hogwarts Legacy, as well as exclusive rewards available to Harry Potter Club members.
The video revealed that the Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride located at Universal Orlando can be found in-game alongside other hidden references for fans to discover. In addition to finding tons of Easter eggs, players will be able to link their Harry Potter Fan Club account with their Warner Bros. Games account. Doing this will allow players to import their house and wands into Hogwarts Legacy. Players will also receive a Beaked Skull Mask and an exclusive “House Fan-Atic School Robes” when they link their accounts.
Fans of the franchise will also notice the changes made to Hogwarts. For instance, Slytherin’s players will find a hidden entrance behind a stone serpent, Gryffindor fans will be able to move the portrait of the fat lady to travel through entrance tunnels, and they’ll have the tallest tower to explore.

TikTok’s Book Club is now (unsurprisingly) Amazon-sponsored
In April, we wrote about #BookTok, describing it as “the “last wholesome place” on the internet. We then asked: can it stay that way?
Depending on how you see the platform — and how you view Amazon — the answer may be here. Amazon has now decided to sponsor the TikTok Book Club, in an effort towards “connecting more readers with books and sharing the experience and joy of reading”.
According to a statement by the pair of companies, the collaboration is an offshoot of Amazon’s campaign called “That Reading Feeling Awaits”. The global campaign aims to inspire a deeper love of reading, much like TikTok’s book community already has.
The partnership, then, may be natural but it’s coming at an interesting time. Amazon is currently being boycotted by a slew of prominent TikTokkers. In a campaign entitled #PeopleOverPrime, 70 creators have vowed to “prevent Amazon from monetizing one of the largest social media platforms in the world”.
Amazon, meanwhile, appears intent on cementing a presence on TikTok, with this collab being yet another example of their (ahem) perseverance.
There’s not much information about how tangible this sponsorship will be. So far, it appears that Amazon’s involvement comes in the form of free, reading-themed emojis on TikTok, by searching for @amazonbooks in Stickers. These stickers can be placed on #BookTok-themed videos. The TikTok Book Club logo and in-app hubs are now also stamped with “Presented by Amazon Books” written underneath.
The TikTok Book Club read for the month, Bolu Babalola’s Honey and Spice, was also selected for Amazon’s Editors’ Pick earlier this summer, as a part of their Feel-good fiction round-up. Babalola also shared her own summer reading picks on the Amazon Editor’s Choice blog yesterday, another facet of the crossover between Amazon and TikTok.
Lisa De Meyer, UK country manager at Amazon Books, said, “At Amazon, our team’s mission is to inspire reading, celebrate books of all genres and all ways of reading. We’re excited to support the #BookTok community’s love of reading and offer new visual ways of expressing that reading feeling.”
The company’s focus on TikTok Book Club is a strong move, especially in light of their current standing with some TikTokkers. The book club came to fruition this summer, and has already gained significant traction across the platform and the wider publishing community.

Bolu Babalola’s ‘Honey and Spice’ is the next TikTok Book Club read
A renewed, global interest in reading has sprung from an unlikely source: TikTok. The social media giant has a flourishing #BookTok community, one that saw the social media company seizing the opportunity to create its own TikTok Book Club earlier this summer. The club is now into its second month, which means an all-new title for TikTokkers and book lovers to enjoy.
For the month of September, the choice is Bolu Babalola’s Honey and Spice.
Like with August, TikTok’s Book Laureates will read and discuss the book of the month individually, ultimately gathering together in a TikTok Live where all five have a conversation about the read — find all the links and details at TikTok’s dedicated hub. This time around, Babalola herself will host a Live Q&A discussion with BookTok creators and be creating related content on her platform.
Already, the laureates have introduced Babalola’s book on their platforms. BookTokker @jackbenedwards describes it as his “most anticipated book of the summer,” while @cocosarel said she’d been manifesting this novel as a book club choice.
Babalola’s debut novel has had social media and critics abuzz since releasing in July. On TikTok itself, #bolubabalola has 312.3K views, while the hashtag #honeyandspice houses hundreds of videos about the book. The New York Times has described Babalola’s romance offering as “sexy, messy and wry.”
Honey and Spice is centered around Kikiola Banjo, a college student and aspiring journalist, who meets Malakai Korede, an enigmatic and charming transfer student. The ensuing story draws upon romance tropes that the TikTok community is currently fascinated by: fake dating, enemies-to-lovers, and university love.
Babalola is a self-proclaimed “pop vulture scholar” and “romcomoisseur“, labels that are a testament to her noted cultural appeal and knowledge. The British-Nigerian author has a wide digital presence and has been lauded for uplifting modern, intersectional narratives of love.
Honey and Spice has already had its time in a prominent book club when it was chosen by Reese Witherspoon for her July pick.
“The #BookTok community keeps getting stronger, and is having a huge impact on people’s perception of reading,” says James Stafford, head of partnerships and community at TikTok. “No matter how well-known a genre or author, there’s a community celebrating it on TikTok, and we’re excited about the #BookClub format as a way to keep sparking these conversations.”
