Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 — Here Are All The Details So Far
Riding off the success of Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has announced Warzone 2.0 will launch with a brand-new map later this year. A map reveal and several details were shared during Call of Duty Next on September 15, and here we highlight all the changes announced for battle royale’s sequel.
Warzone 2.0 release date and platform details
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a new free-to-play battle royale scheduled to release on November 16 across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Story details
Nothing has been officially confirmed for Warzone’s storyline. Originally, Warzone’s Verdansk map followed Infinity Ward’s post-launch story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, so it’s very possible we’ll see a continuation of Modern Warfare 2’s story unfold in Warzone 2.0.

EA’s Vince Zampella has said that when it comes to Battlefield 2042, DICE “strayed a little too far” from what makes Battlefield a Battlefield game.
Speaking in an interview with Barrons, Zampella said the team behind the game may have also been a bit too ambitious.
“I think they just strayed a little too far from what Battlefield is,” he said (via VGC). “They tried to do a couple of things that were maybe ambitious: grow the player count, etc. I don’t think they spent enough time iterating on what makes that fun.

Coming off the back of a Gamescom where Xbox mostly focused on well-known titles that’ll be out pretty soon, it looked like we’d be waiting quite a while for a further update on some of Xbox’s bigger and more mystery-shrouded upcoming games. Every now and then we get a little surprise, however – and such was the case with Perfect Dark, where Xbox’s Matt Booty briefly deigned to talk about the hotly-anticipated reboot during a PAX West panel.
Booty, who is the head of the now-sprawling Xbox Game Studios portfolio of development houses and games, talked about how any reboot of the Perfect Dark franchise would have to be handled “very carefully”, noting that properties such as this “don’t always age well.” And, you know, Booty is right. But the next thing he said is curious – and for my money, it’s wrong.
“What I think is super cool about Perfect Dark, what’s super cool about Joanna Dark, is the super agent fantasy, the spy, the sort of Bourne Identity, James Bond kind of thing there,” Booty explained.
