Lucid teases its three-row Gravity electric SUV
Lucid had more to show today than its less expensive Air models. The auto startup has finally teased its second EV, the long-in-the-making Gravity SUV. The vehicle will share the swooping visual language of the Air while offering up to three rows of seating that can accommodate seven people. It should also have a next-gen version of Lucid’s touchscreen-heavy cockpit, and purportedly offer more range than “any other EV” outside of the Air.
The company cautions that the Gravity design and specifications aren’t final. What Lucid is showing now is largely what you’d expect, however — it’s a big people-hauler with perks like a panoramic roof. As with Tesla’s Model X, the three-row configuration doesn’t leave much room in the back for either passengers or cargo. The rear space is “flexible,” according to Lucid, so you might not be stuck if you need to carry a large load.
You will be waiting a while to buy the SUV. Reservations for the Gravity open in early 2023, and it won’t reach the US or Canada until 2024. Customers outside those countries will have to be more patient, and the firm hasn’t disclosed pricing. It’s safe to presume the EV will be expensive, though, when even the ‘entry’ Air starts at $87,400. This is more for customers who would otherwise consider a Model X, Mercedes EQS SUV or Polestar 3.
The Gravity could be Lucid’s most important EV to date, whatever it costs. The Air may be fast, but its sedan form factor limits its appeal in an increasingly SUV-centric market. The new model could help Lucid reach a wider audience, even if the clientele will still be limited to wealthy buyers willing to take a chance on a young brand.

The Destiny 2 vaulting content issue is like having to “defy gravity”
The Destiny 2 vaulting content issue is as much a pain for Bungie as it is for players, the FPS game’s director Joe Blackburn said on Twitter. Blackburn was responding to Forbes’ Paul Tassi, who, in turn, quoted a passage from PC Gamer’s Tim Clark and his interview with Bungie following the announcement that Bungie would no longer sunset major content. In the interview, Bungie said the decision to keep or vault content is always a difficult balancing act and will continue to be so.

PlayStation Is Working on a Gravity Rush Movie
Sony is reportedly working on a ‘Gravity Rush’ movie with Ridley Scott’s production team
Sony seems determined to turn every gaming property it has ever laid a finger on into a movie or TV show. PlayStation Productions has a whole heap of projects in the works and the latest, according to Deadline, is a Gravity Rush film.
The movie will be based on the 2012 PlayStation Vita game of the same name from Japan Studio’s Team Gravity (the title was later remastered for PlayStation 4). You play as Kat, an amnesiac who can manipulate gravity to traverse an open world in a novel way. Kat uses her powers to protect the people of Hekseville from gravity storms and monsters. A sequel arrived on PS4 in 2017.
Ridley Scott’s production company Scott Free Productions is reportedly working on the movie. Emily Jerome, the writer of upcoming thriller Panopticon, is working on the script. Anna Mastro, who helmed Disney+ film Secret Society of Second Born Royals and episodes of many notable TV shows, is onboard as director.
The Gravity Rush project underlines just how serious Sony is about expanding its gaming IP into the realms of film and television. It finally released an Uncharted movie earlier this year and over the weekend, it emerged that a Days Gone film is in development. That’s on top of shows based on Twisted Metal,God of War and the Horizon games, as well as upcoming Gran Turismo and Ghost of Tsushima movies.
Last, but by no means least, a show based on The Last of Us is coming to HBO next year. The network released the first footage from the series in a sizzle reel on Sunday. With The Last of Us Day fast approaching, we likely won’t have to wait long for a full trailer.
