The Bill star reveals horrifying moment creeps in Audi A6 ‘tried to kidnap’ grandchildren by his home
THE BILL star Billy Murray has revealed his grandkids were almost kidnapped by five creeps in an Audi.
The concerned 81-year-old posted a video talking about his daughter’s narrow escape while out for a walk near her home in a small village in Essex.

He said his daughter, her partner and two children were walking in a “little tiny village just around the corner from our little farm”.
The children were picking wildflowers and his daughter’s partner had stopped to take a call when a black Audi A6 blocked off the road where she was walking.
The driver got out to speak to her and was “very familiar with her and chatting,” Billy said.
He claimed there was a passenger and three men in the back of the car.
They were Eastern European, he added.
He said: ” She said he was Eastern European and it was a black four-door Audi A6 and they kept looking at the children. She had this terrible fear all of a sudden. She panicked and called out to Mick.”
Billy said his daughter’s partner Mick could see the passengers getting out of the car and trying to approach the children.
He added: “They were going to kidnap my grandchildren, that’s what they assumed anyway.
“Mick yelled and screamed at them to run. As he ran over from the other side of the road they all jumped in the car and squealed off and tyres were burning everything.”
Billy warned his viewers “they’re still out there”.
He said the family called the police but officers claimed there was nothing they could do because no crime had been committed.
“It’s happening in Basildon and Grays and people are reporting it on Facebook all the time,” he said.
Billy is best known for his role in The Bill as Don Beech from 1995 to 2004.
The SunOnline has contacted Billy’s representatives for comment.

The horror unfolded when she was working for the BBC at the World Cup in Russia in 2018[/caption]
She recalled fearing she would never see her mum again, and texting her agent to “send a search party” if she wasn’t back soon.
The horror unfolded while Alex was working for the BBC at the World Cup in Moscow in 2018.
She says the only way she managed to flee was by convincing the “sicko” she was a friend of Russian president Vladimir Putin – who she had only met that morning.
The 38-year-old recalled the horror in her memoir, titled How (Not) To Be Strong.
In her book, Alex told how the BBC usually insisted staff use official, pre-booked cars while on work trips.
But, having gone for a drink with a friend, she decided to get an Uber for the 15-minute journey back to the hotel she was staying at.
Alex recalled that just minutes into the trip the driver, who was “a stacked bald man, stocky, and wearing a grin on his face”, turned to her.
The Mirror reported Alex wrote in her book: “He looked at me and said – in English – ‘Tell them they will never see you again.’
“‘I don’t understand,’ I stammered.”
The former Lioness said the driver then opened Google Translate on his phone and spoke to it in Russian.
She waited with baited breath for the translation to appear.
Alex recalled her “body went numb” as she saw the words: “‘Tonight I am not taking you home,’ [it] read. ‘You come with me.’”
Alex described how, through the driver’s phone translation and his broken English, he began telling her “horrible, terrible things: how he takes girls like me, how they never make it home”.
She said she frantically messaged her agent from within the locked car and “told him if I wasn’t back in 15 minutes to send a search party”.
But the driver’s next haunting message delivered via his phone was: “Girls like you, I kill.”
Alex recalls: “‘Oh my God,’ was my first thought… ‘I’m never going to see Mum again.’”
Then, she had a brainwave – that she had been with Putin that morning.
Alex wrote in her book: “‘You can’t kill me,’ I said. ‘I have to see Putin tomorrow.’
“He started laughing. ‘No one sees Putin’. I was scrambling now, pulling up photos from the morning’s visit to the Kremlin that had made newspaper headlines.
“His laughter died and I could see the cogs whirring as he tried to process what I was showing him. ‘If I don’t see Putin tomorrow, he will find you.’”
She said almost instantly the Uber was heading back towards her hotel.
As they pulled up, the driver tried to touch her legs and kiss her before she clambered out.
Alex added: “I knew then what a near-miss I’d had but, rather than confront it, I just… brushed aside the incident like it had never happened.
“I didn’t want people to worry about me or think I couldn’t handle myself – just like when I was young.”
