Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann is ‘intrigued’ by Elden Ring and Inside’s lack of traditional storytelling
You might recall an interview from just a few weeks ago between The New Yorker and Naughty Dog’s co-president Neil Druckmann. During the discussion, Druckmann commented that the next Naughty Dog game will be “structured more like a TV show.”
Druckmann later clarified on Twitter that this was about “making our games in an even more collaborative manner,” much rather than producing an episodic game of sorts.
Now, after the release of another interview between Druckmann and The Washington Post, this has all begun to make even more sense. When talking about narrative storytelling and video games, Druckmann commented that he is “more recently intrigued by stuff like Elden Ring and Inside that doesn’t rely as much on traditional narrative to tell its story, and I think there’s some of the best storytelling in The Last of Us, a lot of it is in the cinematics.”

Samsung Mocks Apple for Lack of Foldable iPhone in New World Cup Themed Ad
In the ad posted on one of Samsung’s Weibo accounts, Galaxy Flip phones can be seen as fans in a soccer stadium, themed after the 2022 World Cup. While the Galaxy Flip phones are cheering and flipping in the stands, a few smartphones, clearly resembling iPhones, remain in the audience, standing still with sad emojis shown on their displays as they look around at the sea of Galaxy Flip phones. Text at the end of the commercial reads, “it’s time to fold together.”
This is not the first time Samsung has made fun of Apple and its lack of a foldable and flippable phones. In an ad last month, Samsung made fun of how Apple users are always waiting for new features, “because that’s what we do. We wait,” the ad mocks a fake Apple employee as saying.

Xbox addresses its lack of presence at The Game Awards
Xbox didn’t really make much of a splash at The Game Awards, so the company’s marketing boss has addressed the concerns of some fans to assuage their feelings.
Most of what was shown off at The Game Awards was not targeted towards the Xbox audience. Sure, there were a few cross-platform titles, but with big names like Final Fantasy 16 and Death Stranding 2 showing up for PS5, and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon and Fire Emblem: Engage making an appearance for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox was kind of the odd one out.
So as spotted by VGC, Xbox’s marketing boss Aaron Greenberg took to Twitter to address some of the fans wondering where the big reveals for Xbox were. “We have a lot planned to show and share about an incredibly exciting year ahead for 2023,” wrote Greenberg in a tweet. “Appreciate folks are eager to learn and see more. Timing is always key, but don’t worry you will not have to wait too long for what’s next from us.”
