Queues could reach lengths of ten miles, with measures in place to support nearly seven miles of royal fans from Lambeth Bridge to Southwark Park.
If necessary, the park will accommodate an extra three miles of zig zag lines.
But it’s not guaranteed everyone who makes the queue will get to see the Queen.
Mourners were seen queuing overnight with the line stretched as far back as London Bridge at 2am.

Government sources have warned new entrants could be turned away at some point over the weekend when officials decide they won’t make it in time, MailOnline reports.
It has not been confirmed when this might be – but Culture Secretary Michelle Donelan said waiting times could hit 30 hours.
It means mourners hoping to join the queue on Saturday or Sunday could be sent home, despite many travelling across the country to be there.
All ceremonial viewing areas for the procession of the Queen’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall are already full, London’s City Hall said.

And the number of people in the queue will be monitored towards the end of the lying in state period.
Entry to the line will also be paused for a time if the queuing infrastructure cannot take any more people.
There will be an element of self-policing when it comes to people keeping their places in the queue for the Queen’s lying in state, it is understood.
Those waiting in line will be given a coloured and numbered wristband, specific to each person, allowing them to leave for a reasonable amount of time.
It is thought people will know those around them in the line and be supportive when others need to step out.
Those hoping to offer their condolences to the Queen and be a part of history by viewing her coffin will be admitted until 6.30am on Monday.
Royal fans gathering in London to attend the procession of the Queen’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall should have a dry afternoon after a cloudy morning.
The Met Office forecaster said it would be dry overnight with some clear spells, with a minimum temperature of 13C.
Monica Farag, 61, joined the queue of mourners wishing to pay their respects to the Queen at 8am on Tuesday morning.
Despite pouring rain outside Lambeth Palace where she found her spot, Ms Farag remained insistent that she would attend the Queen’s lying in state, saying: “I’m used to the British weather. I’m staying here overnight – I am not moving.”
Jacqueline Nemorin, who is 44th in the line, joined the queue to attend the lying in state at 6pm on Tuesday.

She added that she managed “a little cat nap” at some point in the night, but the two people behind her in the queue “didn’t sleep at all”.
The late monarch’s lying in state in Westminster Hall opens to the public at 5pm on Wednesday and will be open 24 hours a day until it closes at 6.30am on Monday September 19 – the day of the Queen’s funeral.

RPS@PAX West 2022: Hands-on with Souls-like fairytale Lies of P
It’s day two of PAX West and to kick off our second day of game events and demos we got hands-on with a build of Neowiz’s Pinocchio RPG, Lies of P. The gameplay demo caused quite a stir when it was at Gamescom earlier this year, so we made it one of our priorities to check it out here in Seattle.
Neowiz are not actually at PAX so there wasn’t anyone on the team to give us some behind-the-scenes info, but I got stuck into the demo for a solid 30 minutes, brawling with the game’s angry robot lads that roamed the city’s blood-washed cobbled streets.
Overall, I had a great time with the demo. Yes, it is incredibly similar to Bloodborne in both its combat and environments but there are plenty of other elements that steer it away from FromSoftware’s horror-filled gothic RPG. If you want more details instead of that short summary then check out our video below where I talk about my time with the build, and about having my arse kicked by giant mechanical automatons. Enjoy!
FromSoftware homage Lies of P isn’t just Bloodborne, it’s Sekiro too
You’ve seen the comparisons before, but it’s impossible to deny there’s more than a likeness between Lies of P and FromSoftware bangers like Bloodborne and Sekiro. There’s the obvious stuff like the perspective, UI, lock-on effect, weighty melee combat, ‘you died’ style death screen, parrying, and dingy urban world, but that barely scratches the surface.
The pace of exploration is classic FromSoftware. Turn down a dimly lit street and you’ll spot an apparently dead soldier at the end. As you approach a dog appears from behind a carriage, snarling with its first few paces towards you. Just as you begin trading blows with the hound you hear another soldier coming from where you entered the alleyway, and as you turn you notice the soldier that was prone at the end of the alley is now on its feet and shambling your way. Figuring out the best order, attack patterns, and counters for this trio takes a few attempts, and it takes a few more runs before I can squeeze past with enough health to make subsequent fights worth attempting.

Lies of P feels even more like Bloodborne in these 12 minutes of gameplay
The Lies of P gameplay reveal from earlier in the week at gamescom’s Opening Night Live was one of the show’s highlights. Fans of Bloodborne, in particular, went through it frame-by-frame, dissecting it to see how much resembles FromSoftware’s unmatched title.
While what we got was fairly brief in the grand scheme of things, there is a longer demo available to some at gamescom. Watching curated clips is one thing, but the longer, unedited walkthroughs are where it’s at.
The video above, from IGN, offers just that: 12 minutes of uncut gameplay of the show demo. The Bloodborne inspirations are immediately visible; from the era the game takes place in, to the architecture and layout of the place.
Lies of P can’t fool us: It’s literally Bloodborne
Lies of P will release day one on Xbox Game Pass
Neowiz has announced that Lies of P, its soulslike RPG that tells the story of Pinocchio, will come to Xbox Game Pass as a day one launch title.
Along with the Game Pass news, a brand new trailer was released showing off plenty of gameplay.
Lies of P tells the story of Pinocchio, a puppet mechanoid who becomes more human as more lies are told. Becoming more human comes with all the advantages and disadvantages it entails. After waking up in an abandoned train station in Krat, you notice a note in front of you that reads “Find Mr. Geppetto,” who is somewhere in the city.
