UPRIGHT ‘NOT DEER’ PAIR Cross Road in Front of Massachusetts Couple
A Worcester County, Massachusetts couple is driving on Rt. 20 late at night when they encounter a pair of tall upright deer-headed animals with black hair and wolf-like back legs.
The following account was recently forwarded to me:
“Ok, I want to start off by saying that I do not really believe in strange creatures from the abyss, and I am not a huge fan of “Looking For Bigfoot.” I am just a regular guy who saw something that I can’t explain. I just want to know if this is something that maybe someone else has seen.
I was driving down Rt. 20 in Northborough, Massachusetts at around 2:00 AM one night in 2007. My girlfriend at the time was in the car with me. When we reached a more wooded area I saw 2 “animals” crossing the road. Both of them stopped and turned to look at my oncoming car. When I saw them I turned on my high beams (thinking they were deer). After a brief moment, they both took about 2 steps and cleared the road, and were in the woods. I looked at my girlfriend who looked back at me and said, “Did you see that? Those were not deer!” We made a few jokes about it and ended up calling them “The things on Rt. 20.”
They had fur on them that was the length of a deer (really short), except the fur was black. Height would be about 7 feet tall. Their eyes were reflective, like when a cat looked at you from the dark. The head was deer-like except they had ears that pointed upwards (I know I am going to get flamed for the next part but…). They were standing upright on their back legs like a human would. It’s difficult to describe what their legs looked like but the closest thing that I can say they resembled was what a wolf’s back legs look like, where only the ends of the paws were touching the ground, and the “ankle” is off of the ground (place your feet under your chair so that only your toes are flat against the floor).
Have you heard of something similar to this so I can try to research it further? Thank you.” TLD
NOTE: Was this a ‘Not Deer?’ It seems to suggest so from the description. Your thoughts? Lon

SASQUATCH PAIR Follow Four-Wheelers Back to Otsego County, Michigan Cabin (VIDEO)
Eyewitness describes, in a video, the frightening encounter he and his daughters had while riding four-wheelers in the deep woods of Vanderbilt, Michigan back in 2017.
“I’m up north and this is northern Michigan and anybody who knows anything about Michigan, once you get past the center of Michigan, it’s pretty much all wilderness up until you get to Canada.
So my wife’s family, has a cabin probably three hours north of where we live, in a place called Vanderbilt, a very small little village. Their place is way out in the sticks. There’s one street. And the street is maybe a mile long and there are six houses on the whole street. So it’s a small cabin and it sits on maybe close to 70 acres but it’s all wooded – just totally wooded. So the next neighbor is close but then after that, you know, you’re probably about, a half mile before you get to the next person.
So we’re up there on four-wheelers. We go up there, take the four-wheelers, take a bunch of gas, and we ride… like the whole family. So this one time, I don’t know what in the hell possessed me to do this but five o’clock or six o’clock up there is not like it is when you’re in a city because there are no street lights and you’re totally in the forest. So I’ve ridden it. I have been going up there for damn near 15 to 20 years by this time and had not seen anything, had not heard anything. There was no indication that anything sketchy at all would be going on.
So I get my daughters, two of my daughters. So we jump on our wheels and my thing is this is like you take a main road down probably a mile and then you turn and you go on a dirt road and then you take that road around. Then you’re going to the wood and then there are things called two tracks and this. It’s kind of a place where there’s enough area for one vehicle, or one four-wheeler, or whatever, and then that’s where you hit all the trails.
So as we’re on the main road or whatever, it’s still pretty open because it’s a paved road and it’s two lanes, one going each way. It’s pretty wide open and it’s not that dark, you know, but the lights of the four-wheelers are on. So we go we make the left and we get on the dirt road. This is a main kind of what you’d consider a main road there. It’s not technically inside the wood where the two-track is so it’s a place where you could drive a truck or a car whatever.
So we make those first couple of turns going back there before even getting really into the woods. In the two tracks, it’s like it went from five to six o’clock to midnight immediately. I’m like, ‘Oh no, this is a bad idea.’ I started to feel really funny, so I stopped my daughters and I’m like, ‘Nope, turn around!’ I allow both of them to go in front of me and turn around and I turn around last and I tell them, ‘Nope, just keep going right on back to the cabin!’
So we’re on like, we’re not even five to ten minutes from the cabin. So we turn around and we start heading back to the cabin and as we head back and I’m in back there and they’re in front, both of them. I look to my left and here’s what’s really weird and kind of how I don’t know, how your mind works when you see something that you just, you don’t really know what you’re seeing. Your mind can’t process it. I look over and the only thing I can think of is just two people on horses because that’s the only thing that my mind could process, a human figure being that tall. Somebody would have to be sitting on top of a horse.
That was the first thing my mind processed and they’re just standing still, not moving one muscle. Two of them. One is clearly taller than the other by almost a foot. So I’m looking at them. I don’t see the back part of the horses at all but their hair is so long it’s like a horse’s mane but it’s all over and they’re just standing there. I just freaked out because I’m back here in the dark and now my mind is playing tricks on me. So I keep going.
We zoom back to the cabin. It’s probably 10:00 PM. Fifteen relatives were there. They’re all sitting around the fire outside, you know, drinking, whatever, telling stories, having a good time and we got like five dogs with us because it’s three or four families. I think I had two dogs at the time.
So we get back and I’m sitting around, of course, telling the story about how that was the worst idea ever because we turned two corners and we were in complete darkness and how I would never ever do anything that stupid again.
We’re sitting around and my back is to the cabin and I’m facing the woods. All of a sudden, all of the dogs started to go completely bonkers. They’re running around in circles, peeing on themselves, barking. I mean barking, but totally scared. No bark of aggression at all. I mean absolutely totally, they’re all going so crazy that everybody corrals their dogs and they had to put their dogs in the cabin and the dogs are still going crazy. They just will not stop. So I’m like, ‘What the heck is going on?’ And my dog, rest in peace, Nala, she’s right next to me but she’s just going in circles, going in circles, going in circles and I’m like, ‘What’s wrong? Relax. Relax. Relax.’
So I look straight ahead in the woods and what I see, and this is how I processed it, I see glowing yellow eyes, two sets. One was probably 11 feet tall and one was probably 12 feet tall and the only reference I have is I coach basketball. I coached basketball for 20 years so I know what 10 feet tall looks like and I know one was 11 feet and one was 12 feet. So I say to myself this must be two owls in the trees. ‘Wow, owls… their eyes would be like, you know, close together if it’s an owl. These are this far apart (uses fingers to show width) and so I just started to look and I see them blink. I see one of the sets of eyes blink and then it dawns on me what the dogs are afraid of and what they saw and I believe that those same two Sasquatch that I had just seen when we rode around the corner coming back. Those two had covered the distance in roughly minutes to get where they were and they were just outside of our fire and everything else but they were legit right there watching us and that’s why the dogs went absolutely berserk because they also saw the same two Sasquatch that I saw up north in Vanderbilt, Michigan.”

NOTE: Interestingly, just one year before his encounter, a person hiking in the woods near Vanderbilt, Michigan described hearing very strange sounds. Lon

The best PlayStation 5 controllers to pair with your new-gen console
Has HBO’s The Last of Us inspired you to play the PlayStation games that inspired the show? Whether you’re a newbie gamer looking to buy a PlayStation 5 or a seasoned pro looking for a few upgrades, you’re going to want the best add-ons possible. One of the most important ones? A controller.
Now is the best time to buy a PlayStation 5 controller
Just a few months ago, writing a roundup of the best PS5 controllers probably would’ve been pointless, on account of the coveted console being virtually inaccessible. You simply couldn’t get one unless you had a massive amount of luck on your side. Fortunately, now you can, sans headache.
It took over two years to see reliable stock of the new-gen console. It’s good timing: With the recent releases of flagship PlayStation 5 accessories like the PSVR2 and DualSense Edge, and more PS5 exclusives coming in 2023, consoles are probably going to stay in high demand for the foreseeable future.
Why buy a controller when the PS5 already comes with one?
You don’t really need to buy another controller when you get your PlayStation 5. The DualSense controller that comes with the console is a solid option and supports all the most important PS5 features. But, if you want a controller that lets you do more — namely alternate key mapping — you’re better off upgrading. And hey, having an extra controller on hand is always a plus.
Not all brands are made equal
There are more options than ever for PlayStation 5 controllers, whether they’re first- or third-party. It’s a double-edged sword, though — a bigger selection also means that there are plenty of opportunities for illegitimate vendors to strike while the iron is hot. While sourcing for this roundup, I came across multiple retailers that gave me weird gut feelings as I tried to buy one of their PS5 controllers (including sites like AimControllers and HexGaming).
I wasn’t able to fully confirm that these sites were scammy, as I was never actually able to get my hands on one of their products, but they certainly gave off those vibes. In the case of AimControllers, my editor and I both became suspicious when we were asked for additional credit card and official identification info after placing an order for a controller, which we promptly canceled. With HexGaming, I couldn’t even get to a checkout page because the website is a hot mess.
This is all to say that you should be wary of third-party sites and make sure to do your research before purchasing from one. My recommendation is to only purchase a PS5 controller directly from Sony, or from a brand that has an official license to make controllers for the PS5 (like Razer and SCUF). If you buy from a seller that isn’t trusted by other consumers or officially licensed, you might just be getting a modded PlayStation controller, which most likely isn’t what you want.
What are the best PlayStation 5 controllers?
I’ve narrowed it down to six options, and they’re all great for different reasons. My personal favorite? The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro. The convenient remapping process, comfort factor, impressive response times, and satisfying click on each button have made it my new go-to. Note that this recommendation is coming from someone who is OK with giving up the haptics and adaptive triggers that the PlayStation 5 has to offer. When I first got my PS5 I was enamored with those features, but after over two years of having one, they’ve worn off on me a bit and have gone from a necessity to a nice-to-have. If you’re new to the PS5, you might want to stick with either the DualSense or DualSense Edge for a while to really experience the magic.
I also tried out the popular SCUF Reflex Pro and PDP Victrix Pro BFG, which are more niche but still worthwhile picks. No matter which one you end up deciding on, one thing is certainly true: There’s never been a more exciting time to be shopping for a PlayStation 5 controller.

WATCH your cash when getting specs – and don’t spend over the odds.
Here are deals and tips to help you pay less for a pair of glasses.
Here are deals and tips to help you pay less for a pair of glasses[/caption]
FREE EYECARE: The NHS recommends getting eyes tested every two years.
Many people can get free tests, including those who are on certain benefits.
Or if you work on a computer, your employer may have to cover the costs of a test, so check with them.
Some people qualify for NHS optical vouchers, to put towards the cost of glasses.
The voucher value varies depending on your needs.
An optometrist should be able to discuss the level of help available to you.
If you are elderly or a student, you might qualify for discounts, of up to 25 per cent off.
Key workers can get offers that are worth searching out — for example, Vision Express gives them 20 per cent off online only.
BARGAIN HUNT: Shop around for glasses and contact lenses rather than simply buying from where you had an eye test.
Nimmi Mistry, professional services optician at Vision Direct, says: “The optician is obliged to provide you with the prescription following the eye test.
“You’re then able to order elsewhere, such as from cheaper online providers.”
SPECS APPEAL: Popular opticians often have multibuy deals so you save when buying more than one pair of glasses.
Own-brand lenses tend to have the lowest prices.
Specsavers offers two for one glasses from £69.
At Boots Opticians you can buy a second pair of glasses for half price, while own-brand styles start from £40.
Vision Express also offers half price on a second pair and now has 20 per cent off when you spend £50 on selected lines.
Asda Opticians has glasses starting from £45 with multibuy deals on designer ranges.
Online provider Feel Good Contacts has a virtual try-on tool to see how a pair look before buying them, with glasses in the sale starting at £6.

Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers Return – Save $20 On Pair Of Exclusive Games
Nintendo is once again selling “game vouchers” on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The vouchers allow you to get two games for $100, offering a savings of up to $20. Most of the eligible games are exclusive to Switch and retail for $60, so if there’s a pair of titles you want, this could be a good deal for you.
Notably, two upcoming Switch exclusives are currently included in the promotion: Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and Bayontta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Dream Land Deluxe is a remastered port of the Wii side-scroller that releases on February 24. Meanwhile, Bayonetta Origins is a prequel that trades over-the-top combat for atmospheric adventuring with more of a puzzle-solving emphasis. The prequel launches on March 17. If you purchase a voucher for $100 and choose these two games, you’ll save $20 overall.
If you’re not sure if you want either of those games, there’s plenty more to choose from. Another standout is Fire Emblem Engage, which just launched in January and has yet to go on sale. A bunch of hits from last year are up for grabs as well, including Splatoon 3, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
