Vesper gives the apocalypse a pretty face and an ugly heart

I’m sorry, I cannot resist chasing Hyper Demon’s pretty little birds

While Hyper Demon is a game of immense and almost uncomprehensible violence, the surprise sequel to Devil Daggers opens in such a lovely way. Before beginning your descent into deicide, you must claim the unholy knife with which you’ll commit first-person ultraviolence, and oh, there it is, surrounded by hopping little crystalline birds! What pretty birds they are! Oh, and they’re cheeping little tinging cheeps! And they hop back if I step towards them! And they flutter into the skies if I charge! And form a big flock if I chase long enough! Ah. Yeah, I think I see how our character ended up in superhell.
This Air-fried banana bread is super easy and pretty tasty

My ideal breakfast is a fried egg on a charred corn tortilla with hot sauce. I prefer something savory with a little heat. Sweet isn’t usually my thing. So a banana bread recipe from TikTok wasn’t really up my alley. It seemed like an easy breakfast but maybe not the breakfast for me.
After trying it, I have to admit it’s a pretty great little recipe. Sure, it’s uncomplicated and not really a banana bread recipe. It’s more akin to banana toast. But the TikTok from user @sammymontgoms combines bread, peanut butter, and bananas into an easy little snack or breakfast. What could be bad, right? It’s racked up some 4.6 million views, so people definitely like it. Here’s what you need to know to make it for yourself.
Ingredients
-
Bread, however many slices you like
-
1 banana
-
peanut butter
-
maple syrup or honey
-
cinnamon
Directions
-
Spread the peanut butter on the bread, making sure to cover it end-to-end.
-
Slice the banana length-wise, so you have long, thing strips of banana.
-
Lay the banana strips across the peanut-butter-covered bread to, again, cover the entire slice.
-
Drizzle the honey or maple syrup over the bread.
-
Sprinkle cinnamon over the bread.
-
Spray your air fryer basket with nonstick spray.
-
After preheating, air fry at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove from the air fryer and enjoy!
The details
I mean…let’s be real…you get what to do here. You put peanut butter on bread. Then you put bananas on bread. You drizzle and sprinkle. You air fry and eat. Easy peasy. Here’s how it looked for @sammymonygoms.

The verdict? I’ll likely stick with my savory breakfast, but if you’re into sweet meals, this is a great option. The high heat of the air fryer does a great job of caramelizing the bananas and honey, giving each bite a charred, sticky quality. It’s reminiscent of bananas foster.
The end product is not overly sweet either, like many other TikTok recipes. It avoids the cloying pratfalls like this bagel recipe with cream cheese, sugar, and honey, for instance. There’s some balance to it. And it’s pretty hearty with the bread and peanut butter.
I think it’s a great option if you want something sweet that you can take on the go. And it takes just more than five minutes to make. In conclusion: It’s not really banana bread. But it couldn’t be easier to make, and it tastes pretty dang good. I’ll take it.
I’ve got to admit, this Rick and Morty ad for God of War Ragnarok is pretty funny
![](https://asset.vg247.com/god_of_war_rick_and_morty.jpg/BROK/resize/1920x1920%3E/format/jpg/quality/80/god_of_war_rick_and_morty.jpg)
There’s a new ad for God of War Ragnarok, featuring both Rick and Morty in a crossover I can safely say I wasn’t ready to see today. The game, launching on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9 takes place in a mystical norse world filled with gods and monsters, one which the duo visited briefly all for the sake of a shiny new axe and a few gags.
The ad itself does, admittedly, have a few jokes that made me giggle. Rick drunkenly summarising the base plot of many AAA narrative action adventures like God of War as journeys to make choices and face the consequences, as well as opening a massive golden chest to find the leviathan axe and “other unannounced upgrades” was just meta enough to get me on board.
This isn’t the first crossover ad Rick and Morty have been a part of. Back in 2020, American fast food restaurant Wendy’s partnered with Rick and Morty to promote some of their breakfast menu, with humanoid breakfast baconator, honey chicken biscuits and an frosty-ccino rushing down and attacking the pair with pipes and bats. Fun stuff.

Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR testing “pretty big” feature soon
![Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR testing “pretty big” feature soon Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR testing “pretty big” feature soon](https://www.pcgamesn.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/diablo-2-resurrected-ptr-big-update.jpg)
A “pretty big” feature is set to arrive on the Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR soon, following the end of the RPG game’s current ladder season. As the spiritually eldest (active) child in the family, Diablo 2 has felt a little left out in the cold lately in light of Diablo 3 season 27 release date news, a Diablo Immortal roguelike event added as part of the lastest major patch, and an update on the plans for the Diablo 4 season pass and microtransactions.
As the previous ladder season for Diablo II: Resurrected comes to a close, community manager PezRadar has taken to the forums to share news of Blizzard’s upcoming plans for the remaster of one of the best fantasy games. Responding to a post querying what is next in line for the game, PezRadar says, “I know it has been a bit quiet on the D2R front especially this week as all other Diablo titles have had some sort of news.”
However, he reassures that the team is “hoping to share some news about the PTR next week.” Acknowledging that Diablo 2: resurrected has fallen “a bit outside our windows we were aiming for with ladder seasons,” he teases that “the team is working on a feature they would like to test in PTR that is pretty big.” Apparently, the team is hopeful that it’ll be ready to share next week, but wants to ensure that accurate feedback can be collected before it goes live.
