Samsung Galaxy S23 problems and how to fix them
Playable Amy is great, but Sonic Origins Plus is pointless if it doesn’t address the original’s problems
Sonic Origins should’ve been a home run. A slam dunk. A punt return for touchdown. A midfield bicycle kick that shears the keeper’s body in two to slam into the back of the net. Four of the greatest games of all time. How could you possibly go wrong? “Hold my chilli dog,” said Sega. It was a mess.
I wrote about it at the time, calling the game a “masterclass in messing up a classic”. The problems were numerous. A lot of people decided to focus on the unfortunate but legally necessary removal of the iconic Sonic 3 music associated with Michael Jackson, but there were other problems.
Bugs. Resource-hogging on PC. Bizarre oversights, like the inability to play the games with their original lives structure. A blurry presentation thanks to poor, pixel-suffocating image scaling. In some instances, even Tails’ player 2 AI was messed up – something that is meant to follow you through every level of over half of the experience.
Destiny 2 hotfix for March 23 finally addresses one of Lightfall’s biggest problems
A new hotfix landing in Destiny 2 Lightfall on March 23 is going to address a major issue that’s been causing players grief since the start of the latest expansion’s launch: finally, Cabal Thresher damage output is going to be nerfed.
Why is this important? First, a history lesson. With the launch of Lightfall, the Cabal airships got a massive upgrade. Ever since we first stepped foot on Neomuna and started experimenting with Strand powers, the pesky airships began firing missiles that can obliterate you in a single shot. Often from across the map. There’s little recourse when a Thresher cannon pops a blast at you, either; it will track around corners, and even through doors on occaision. Given that they spawn, frequently, on new Patrol location Neomuna, they’ve been the bane of many a Guardian for weeks now.
It’s even more egregious in the Nightfalls or Battlegrounds missions that have been given a makeover lately. As well as being harder in general (a change I am here for, for what it’s worth), Guardians are also having to contend with Threshers that are outputting damage at way above the intended rate. Getting one-shot by a cannon to the face when you’re trying to accrue 200k Lightfall score on Legend is the antithesis of fun, Bungie.

The Fed Had Already Spotted Big Problems at SVB Before Its Collapse
In 2021, a Fed review of the growing bank found serious weaknesses in how it was handling key risks. Supervisors at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, which oversaw Silicon Valley Bank, issued six citations. Those warnings, known as “matters requiring attention” and “matters requiring immediate attention,” flagged that the firm was doing a bad job of ensuring that it would have enough easy-to-tap cash on hand in the event of trouble.
But the bank did not fix its vulnerabilities. By July 2022, Silicon Valley Bank was in a full supervisory review — getting a more careful look — and was ultimately rated deficient for governance and controls. It was placed under a set of restrictions that prevented it from growing through acquisitions. Last autumn, staff members from the San Francisco Fed met with senior leaders at the firm to talk about their ability to gain access to enough cash in a crisis and possible exposure to losses as interest rates rose.
It became clear to the Fed that the firm was using bad models to determine how its business would fare as the central bank raised rates: Its leaders were assuming that higher interest revenue would substantially help their financial situation as rates went up, but that was out of step with reality. y early 2023, Silicon Valley Bank was in what the Fed calls a “horizontal review,” an assessment meant to gauge the strength of risk management. That checkup identified additional deficiencies — but at that point, the bank’s days were numbered. In early March, it faced a run and failed within a matter of days….
The picture that is emerging is one of a bank whose leaders failed to plan for a realistic future and neglected looming financial and operational problems, even as they were raised by Fed supervisors. For instance, according to a person familiar with the matter, executives at the firm were told of cybersecurity problems both by internal employees and by the Fed — but ignored the concerns.
The Federal Reserve Bank system has 12 distircts, and the one overseeing California had a board of directors which included SVB’s CEO Greg Becker, the article points out. “While board members do not play a role in bank supervision, the optics of the situation are bad.”

How to Fix Common Soundbar Problems

Twitter is having problems. Again.
It’s time once again for that seemingly regularly scheduled daily mishap on Elon Musk’s Twitter.
On Monday, around noon ET, users began reporting that a number of essential Twitter features like links, photos, and Tweetdeck were no longer working.
Users who attempted to click on a link were met with the following error message:
{“errors”:[{“message”:”Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint, please see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api for more information”,”code”:467}]}
It appears the problem lies with all links shared on Twitter or automatically shortened using Twitter’s service, t.co.
However, that’s not the only issue. Photos uploaded directly on the platform are also not loading. Users are instead treated to a blank solid grey or brown color in place of the image.
Tweetdeck users are also reporting that the Twitter-owned dashboard application is also experiencing technical difficulties.
Of course, social media platforms, Twitter included, have faced tech issues before. However, Twitter has seemingly been plagued with a multitude of issues regarding broken features and website downtime regularly since Musk acquired the platform.
These tech issues have become so normal that Musk’s reaction, usually a tweet claiming that he is “looking into it,” to users complaining about issues on the platform has become a meme at this point.
But, this time it seems that Musk is trying out something new.
“This platform is so brittle (sigh),” he tweeted. “Will be fixed shortly.”
