Niantic Pulls Zorua From Pokemon Go Because Of A Bug
Zorua and its evolution Zoroark were meant to have made their debuts in Pokemon Go this past week, as part of the game’s ongoing Halloween events, however the trickster Pokemon has been pulled–or at least delayed, due to a bug.
In keeping with its nature as a trickster Pokemon, Niantic had planned a unique event for Zorua’s debut, where the Pokemon would appear on the map in the form of the player’s buddy Pokemon, only revealing itself as Zorua when caught. The event seemed to run as intended for players in New Zealand, the first time zone to receive Pokemon Go events, however a second spawn didn’t occur as planned, and players in Australia saw no sign of Zorua.
According to a series of tweets by Niantic Support, the event was bugged, causing caught Zorua to take on the stats–including height, CP, and attacks–of the buddy Pokemon that was originally caught. While some players in early time zones were able to catch Zorua and add it to their Pokedex, the Pokemon that were caught will not be able to be traded, sent to Pokemon Home, or allowed in PVP battles.
London ice cream shop pulls its ‘murder scene’ Halloween display after outrage from locals
AN ICE cream shop has pulled its Halloween display because it was too grisly.
Kaspa’s mocked-up murder scene featured a dummy wrapped in bin bags and duct tape lying beside a knife and covered in fake blood.
It was condemned by knife crime campaigners and customers.
Patrick Green, head of the Ben Kinsella Trust said; “This display is insensitive and is likely to cause distress to anyone who has been affected by knife crime.”
Two councillors in Eltham, South East London, stepped in to demand its removal, saying: “We are very disappointed, it is not at all family-friendly for our high street.”
Kaspa’s said as soon as it was made aware of concerns, the display was taken down.
It added: “It was in poor taste and we apologise for any distress that it’s caused.”

Modern Warfare 2 beta pulls in nearly 110,000 concurrent players on its first day on Steam
The Modern Warfare 2 beta kicked off its second stint last night across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Though it’s the second time PlayStation players are able to play, this is the first time PC and Xbox folks are getting access to the beta.
It’s only available for those who pre-ordered or acquired a beta code so far, but it’s already breaking records.
Everyone assumed it was going to be big, but since Call of Duty has been absent from Steam for five years now, we never really had a good picture of its player numbers on PC. Modern Warfare 2 marks the series’ grand return to Steam, and the audience there has responded in kind.
