For three hours, Re:Call was high on my list of surprise recent indie hits. It has a great premise, for starters – change history by meddling with your memories and playing out different versions of events to arrive at the ‘correct’ solution – and executes it brilliantly. Its GBA-style visuals and larger-than-life character portraits give it a real sense of charm and personality, and its mystery story of murder and corporate conspiracy had hooked me in real good.
Then it abandoned its cool premise halfway through and became a different game entirely for its remaining run-time. I was heartbroken.

As companies have announced smart appliance after smart appliance, some people (myself included) have questioned why on earth you’d want to connect something like a washing machine or refrigerator to the internet. Samsung, however, has come up with a very compelling, if admittedly niche, use case: the company announced in December that it’s issuing an over-the-air software patch as part of the recall for some top-load washing machines that “can short-circuit and overheat, posing a fire hazard.”
It’ll even send some customers a dongle in case their washers can’t connect to Wi-Fi.

Tesla’s third recall of the month affects an additional 320,000 vehicles
The recall report was issued by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) for specific 2023 Model 3 and 2020-2023 Model Y electric vehicles. The report states that affected vehicles may experience randomly illuminating rear taillights on one or both sides of the vehicle, resulting in a potentially increased collision risk.
