London Games Festival announce 2023 Official Selection
The London Games Festival is back for 2023, and today they’ve announced the Official Selection of games they’ll be showcasing across the event. There are 32 games in the line-up this year, which will be highlighted in a series of online and in-person events running from March 29th to April 8th. I’m particualrly pleased to see some of our own most anticipated games make the Selection, including Black Salt Games’ eldritch fishing sim Dredge and Necrosoft Games’ Demonschool.

Maxim Lany defies gravity with an amazing selection of dance music for the weekend
BELGIAN DJ and producer Maxim Lany first came to our attention at the end of 2019 with his breakthrough track Renaissance which was championed by tastemaker DJs such as Solomun and Tale of Us.
Maxim enjoyed a fabulous year last year with a stand out performance at Tomorrowland and topping the charts with single Trippin’ featuring Davina Malek.
Fast forward to 2023 and Maxim has started the year in fine form with the release of his new single Gravity which has received a fantastic reaction when included in his sets so far this year.
We caught up with him during his current tour of Mexico and asked him to compile and talk us through a selection of tracks that have been setting his dance floors on fire so far this year. Listen to the music and read what he had to say about it below.
Maxim Lany – Gravity (Extended Mix)
I have been testing Gravity since the festivals last year. When seeing the crazy reactions of the crowds, I decided to finish it and release it as the first single of 2023 on Armada Electronic Elements.
Øostil & USHUNU – Safe
One of my musical friends who is super talented and brings out pure emotions with his minimal approach on the darker Melodic vibes. This track is a beauty that sets mood for a big night.
Stil & Bense – You & Me & You (Extended Mix)
This one is totally underrated. It always brings a really good groove into my sets and people love it!
Night Talk & Definition – Clockwork
I got to discover this one thanks to the amazing Elif who shared her secret weapon with me and I have been playing it ever since.
Adam Sellouk – Mirage
I met Adam in Tel Aviv on tour and we connected immediately. His club hit Mirage is always one of the highlights of my sets.
Joone – Estera
Really dark and big sounds with a powerful drop, this one is for the peak time moments. Love it too.
GAIA – Tuvan (AVIRA Extended Remix)
My man AVIRA has a way to bring any track to a next level. His production skills are just insane and this new one is the perfect Melodic track for the big room sets.
Gespona, Althoff – Jigsaw
Rising talent Gespona from Stil Vor Talent has some serious skills and this track is a real dance floor bomb.
Agustin Giri – Perpetual Motion
A bit more experimental but with really smart production on this one. Perfect in bringing some balance into a set with an energetic second part.
Lostep – Burma [anamē AM Extended Mix]
I met anamē during our show at ASOT at last year’s ADE. I have been following him since and this remix here shows the perfect take on the progressive sound with a higher bpm. Works well late at night.

The RPS Selection Box: Liam’s bonus games of the year 2022
Oh. OK. I guess it’s time for me to publicly confess which games I voted for in this year’s advent calendar but that didn’t get it, and without the usual protection of anonymity granted by group lists. Listen: please don’t judge me. I just want to say that up top before you find out where I live and start sending me pizzas or something. I am fallible. You cut me, I bleed red. I put my bread in the toaster one slice at a time.
Anyway, with that out the way, here’s a list of things I liked this year that no one else at RPS had a chance to play, or in one case just thought was total ass.
