The NBA playoffs have been defined by one thing: nut shots
Somehow a primary storyline of the NBA playoffs is the same as the subject of viral videos in the early days of YouTube: nut shots. That’s right, hits to the groin have been a central part of the ongoing first round of the NBA playoffs.
It started with Game 3 of the Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets. Star Sixers center Joel Embiid fell to the ground and got stepped over by Nic Claxton, traditionally considered a big sign of disrespect in the NBA. Embiid responded with an upward kick in Claxton’s…nether region. Somehow this did not get him ejected from the game.
Crucially, Embiid might’ve missed the…central target…with his kick. But later his running mate James Harden would be thrown out for a seemingly accidental swipe that did connect with the groin of Nets player Royce O’Neale. Mind you this is all in the same game.
Not to be out-done, on Saturday night the Memphis Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks — a fantastic villain who has been trash-talking LeBron Freaking James — got booted from Game 3 of their Round 1 series against the L.A. Lakers for, you guessed it, smacking James in the nuts.
And while this isn’t a hit to the balls, Golden State Warrior Draymond Green — who himself once famously nut-shotted James — got a one-game suspension for stepping on a dude’s chest. All of these moments have, of course, led to meme jokes, and funny edits.
People wondered if the NBA is going to need new nut-shot rules. Fans wondered if this was the new NBA.
Oh and if you were worried about James’ health…he was definitely fine.
The NBA playoffs will continue for weeks. Time will only tell how many more nut shots we’re gifted with.

Kim Kardashian lets son Saint, 7, run wild in London hotel halls at 1AM after she guzzles beer and downs shots with pals
KIM Kardashian has shared a video of her son Saint running wild in a London hotel after a boozy St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
The reality star and her son jetted to London with friends, where they attended an Arsenal game.

The post came after a boozy outing with friends on St. Patrick’s Day[/caption]
Kim, 42, reposted a social media video from a friend – presumably on the trip with her – that showed Saint and several other kids running and screaming in a hotel hallway.
Children jumped about, hugging and flopping onto the floor.
Someone in the clip appeared to be screaming: “We won!”
The caption on the clip read: “We play soccer in hallways now… with feathered hats!”
Kim then added her own caption, writing: “Not trying to brag but with a Guinness and the feathered hat Allison & I bought in London when we were 16, my soccer skills kicked in and I WON THE GAME FOR THEM!!! NO BIG DEAL.”
A short time before she shared the video, she posted photos of herself and her gal pals “pub hopping.”
The Hulu star posted pics of Guinness pints sitting on a bar top.
She wrote: “Pub hopping on this St. Paddy’s day.”
Kim then shared photos of several shots on a tray, writing: “Baby Guinness.”
The SKKN mogul has repeatedly stated that she’s not a big drinker, though her Instagram Story would suggest she was partying today.
GAME TIME
Kim was spotted taking in an Arsenal game during her European jaunt.
She looked on as the club was knocked out of the Europa League after losing to Sporting CP.
The Skims mogul shared several snaps from the game, documenting her son Saint’s reaction to the less-than-favorable result.
The tot was recorded chanting Bukayo Saka’s name as he stepped up to take a penalty kick.
Eagle-eyed fans picked up on this and rushed to social media to joke about Kim sliding into Saka’s private messages.
One user said: “Arsenal let Bukayo Saka down. He was a win away from Kim Kardashian sliding into his DM’s.”
Others joked about the 21-year-old’s “star power”, while also adding that Kim’s recognition was the one win from the night.
One user said: “Key takeaway from this game is Kim K recognizes Saka, our starboy is clear!!!”
A second commented: “Kim K snapping Saka penalty and they were saying he isn’t franchise.”
“Kim K is a Saka fan I’m leaving with something,” remarked a third.
Bukayo is currently in a relationship with Tolami Benson and has been for quite a while.
SAVING FACE
While the team didn’t win, Kim’s son Saint still managed to come out on top.
The reality star uploaded footage of the footballer scoring a spot-kick in a shootout.
It was later revealed that he FaceTimed Kim and her group, chatting with her son as he rocked an Arsenal shirt.
Bukayo revealed to Saint that while he hadn’t seen them at the game, he had a shirt for them.
He was heard saying: “Sorry I missed you guys yesterday.
“They said that you was in the players lounge. I had one shirt for you.”
The sporting star added: “Tell them to let me know when they’re coming back and I’ll sort them some T-shirts.”
Kim captioned her video of the call: “And more surprises… the boys fave player for @arsenal @bukayosaka87.”
Bukayo also uploaded a snap from the sweet moment.
Kim reposted the upload to her story, writing: “Thank you for making our boys’ day.”

Samsung ‘Fake’ Moon Shots Controversy Puts Computational Photography in the Spotlight
Samsung introduced a 100x zoom feature with the Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020, becoming a mainstay on recent flagship handsets from the company. Since its debut, Samsung has touted its devices’ ability to take impressive pictures of the moon. Unlike brands such as Huawei, which simply overlay a PNG of the moon on such images, Samsung says that no overlays or texture effects are applied.
Yet on Friday, a Samsung user on the subreddit r/Android shared a detailed post purporting to “prove” that Samsung’s moon shots are “fake.” Their methodology involved downloading a high-resolution image of the moon, downsizing it to just 170 by 170 pixels, clipping the highlights, and applying a gaussian blur to heavily obscure the moon’s surface details. This low-resolution image was then displayed on a monitor and captured at a distance from a Samsung Galaxy device. The resulting image has considerably more detail than its source.
Samsung devices seemingly achieve this effect by applying machine learning trained on a large number of moon images, making the photography effect purely computational. This has led to accusations that a texture is functionally still being applied to images of the moon and that the feature is a disingenuous representation of the camera hardware’s actual capabilities, triggering heated debate online, even bringing into question the iPhone‘s reliance on computational photography.

Shots fired as Microsoft and Sony reignite Call Of Duty parity debate
Microsoft and Sony have been in a months-long back-and-forth over Microsoft’s proposed Activision Blizzard acquisition and the issue of Call Of Duty exclusivity, and they’re not done yet. In a series of tweets published last Friday, Microsoft’s chief communications officer Frank X. Shaw said Sony were “briefing people in Brussels claiming Microsoft is unwilling to offer them parity for Call of Duty if we acquire Activision,” but added that “Nothing could be further from the truth.” I would have thought that a legal venue would be a more appropriate place to air these grievances, but I suppose this gets the job done quicker. Either way, it’s a toffee popcorn-worthy accusation in the ongoing drama.
