If there’s one thing we know about Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it’s that it will contain a multitude of Spider-people, as well as some creepy new antagonists. But even in a universe teeming with heroes and villains, individual characters will still make a big impact on the story—especially Miles Morales and…

Like its predecessor, the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to introduce audiences to a brand new pack of Spider-heroes they otherwise might not have known about. Beyond Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 (aka Miguel O’Hara), two of the more prominent faces are Pavitr Prabhakar, aka the Spider-Man of…
New Across The Spider-Verse Trailer Reveals The Spider-Cat
We’re a mere three weeks away from the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and apparently Sony had one last big trailer for us that puts the focus on a couple of the new Spider-folks we’ll be meeting in the film: Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099, and a house cat known only as Spider-Cat.
On top of getting more time with Miguel, this trailer includes a ton of gorgeous new out-of-context shots of the Spider-Verse. While we don’t know what it all means, this trailer is showing us that the second Spider-Verse flick might be even more beautiful than we’re expecting. And we’re expecting it to be pretty dang beautiful. Watch the trailer below.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will see Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker and the other Spider-people from the first movie return alongside dozens or hundreds of new Spider-folks. Together, they’re facing The Spot, a man whose body is made up of dimensional warps. Sounds like he’s uniquely equipped to battle this dimension-hopping Spider-crew.
Sony Dropped 14 Incredible Minutes Of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse at CinemaCon
At CinemaCon in Las Vegas Monday night, Sony Pictures trotted out its slate of upcoming movies–and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse got the star treatment with 14-minute presentation of footage from the film. And it was awesome, according to GameSpot Senior Editor Chris Hayner.
Before presenting the lengthy clips, the CinemaCon crowd was greeted by Spider-Verse co-director Kemp Powers, along with stars Shameik Moore (Miles Morales/Spider-Man), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen) and Issa Rae (Jessica Drew/Spider-Man). Moore said that it’s been more than a year since the events of the first movie, and that “Miles is still trying to find out how to be a superhero.”
“In this movie, Miles finds out it’s how you wear the mask that makes you a hero,” Moore said.
New Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Has Miles On The Multiverse Run
The second official trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has swung in, and like the teaser before it, it’s a showcase of Spider-Men from across the Marvel Multiverse, a brewing civil war, and Miles on the run from the Spider-Man of 2099, Miguel O’Hara.
Picking up shortly after the first film, Into the Spider-Verse reunites Miles with Gwen Stacy, but after being introduced to a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the very existence of the Multiverse, Miles finds himself at odds against the other Spiders and he must redefine what it means to be a hero if he wants to protect the people that he loves the most.

Willem Dafoe famously starred in the first of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films as the billionaire scientist Norman Osborne, who later in the film turned into the nefarious Green Goblin. When he was asked to return to the role for the newest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, he made it clear that he had some…

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Is The Franchise’s Empire Strikes Back, Writer Says
There might not be a sequel more revered than Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. So with that in mind, it’s possibly unsurprising that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse writer and producer Chris Miller is slinging that comparison out into our universe.
Speaking with Empire Magazine, Miller explained how Across the Spider-Verse is similar to Empire. “People who’ve seen Across… have told us that it feels like The Empire Strikes Back of the Spider-Verse franchise,” Miller said. “It shows you worlds you haven’t seen, and it’s an emotional story that ends in a place where you need to see the third one. So, yeah: This is our Empire.”
Across the Spider-Verse will be followed by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse on March 29, 2024. Originally, the two films were titled with the Across name but denoted Part 1 and Part 2.

The days to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse get shorter and shorter, and anticipation for the animated movie is at an all-time high. Right now, the film’s greatest selling point is how it plans to go bigger than before, with Miles Morales meeting Spider-characters at a number much greater than the five travelers …
